Marc spotted this on eBay. The auction ended, but I’m sure the seller will be happy to sell it. Note the muffler winding under the front frame rails.

“Hi, and welcome! Thanks for stopping by. You are looking at a 5×7 photograph printed on FujiFilm Crystal Archive emulsion paper depicting one of the first American Jeeps to penetrate into Germany during World War II. Driving the Jeep is T/5 Charles D. Hiller of East Syracuse, New York. Sitting next to him is a Belgian patriot in an American uniform, holding an M1 Garand. His name was Henri Souvee of Liege, Belgium. The photo was taken in Roetgen, Germany on September 10, 1944.”

Mark spotted this unique jeep in a gift shop in Sparta, Ontario, Canada. He also spotted the motorcycle.

He writes, “These are hand made displays. I thought that they were very interesting. However, priced between $50.00 & $100.00, I declined my temptations. I felt that the money would be better spent on maintaining my jeep.”

Probably a good idea Mark 🙂

“I thought I would share with you a Jeep which my Father built during WW 2 as head of the motor pool in Germany.

This was used to pull engines from everything from trucks to the Tanks with special Cadillac engines… My Dad Steve Giordano is not the one pictured here … If anyone has seen this or knows of its location of course would like to purchase it where ever it is!”
