About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“For sale is a rare FJ-6 Mail Truck. So we’ll star with rarely does not necessarily equate to value. This mail truck is sold for parts or repair. There is an engine block with no head and no transmission. Both axles an extra Whiting roll-up door; extra front and rear bumper are included. Most of the glass is included. There is enough here to do a restoration.”
Craig shared this one. Runs but could use some work.
“For sale or trade: 1966 Kaiser Jeep FJ-6 Fleetvan with its original F-134 Hurricane 4 cyl. engine and automatic transmission and two wheel drive. It apparently was a parcel delivery or mail truck. It’s not ready for the highway, but it does run and appears to have low miles. The body is very solid and made of aluminum or galvanized metal. The left side window is out and the drivers window (right side) needs repair. The rear slide-up door is in good shape but needs some adjustment. This would make a really cool ice cream truck or concession truck. I’m asking $2250 or will consider trade. Let me know what you have.”
Guy happened upon a photo of an FJ-3 while looking at the Internet Movie Car Database. This movie features a variety of vehicles. You can view all the cars from the movie here.
Mike shared this auction of a CJ-2A with a fiberglass body. In the background he spotted an FJ. It’s unclear if that is purchasable or not, but I was able to track down the gas station in Bogata. There’s also a pic at the bottom of this post.
“1948 willys cj2a jeep, has a fiberglass tub, so no rust through on body, chevy 350 v8 engine, was last cranked about 6 months ago, vehicle has been sitting in my shop for several years, needs a new ignition switch wired up, gas tanks hooked back up an some brake work, currently they are not working.. like I say the jeep has been sitting for several years an may need some tinkering here an there to get back on the road again.. the motor ran strong in it, has long tube headers, mild cam, 4 barrel edelbrock carb, dual point setup, it would be a great project for someone, I just don’t have the time for as many projects I have, so thinning the heard a little, have clean title 1948 in hand for the jeep, buyer responsible for pickup or shipping,”
This includes a gov data plate and a serial number plate.
“This listing is for my 1963 Willys Jeep FJ3 Fleetvan as-shown. These are getting to be super hard to find in any condition, sadly though this one needs to be completely restored. I bought it in Alabama 3-months ago and AL does not issue titles on older vehicles,so I do not have a title with this vehicle. Ebay required that I do not leave that option blank so I put Salvage. I am just starting to realize that I don`t have the time for all of my vehicles that I wish I had. Continue reading →
“Here we have a super rare 1961 jeep Fj3 delivery van.. these were only made for a few years an are sought after for their very uncommon look they have.. this truck is very solid with almost no rust through, it has a small spot down low on drivers side as seen in pics, it has a 4cyl motor an manual transmission, the distributor is missing the points, but motor is free an I’m sure would run with a little tinkering.. inside floor is very solid, all the doors open an close, this is an awesome project to build an would make a great food or coffee truck of some sort. I do have clean title. Truck rolls an steers easily. ”

Paul bought this FJ-3 back in 2014. He’s restored it beautiful. He wrote: “Her new home is in Orange County, California. This FJ3 is now a daily driver and is used both in my business, and as a fun vehicle to take to shows and cruises. It is looking a little different now. It is still running the original engine and transmission. The rear end is now a freshly rebuilt Dana 44 with taller gears so it can do a decent highway. On the exterior, all the rusty metal has been replaced and the rear side windows have been removed. The rear door is still a wood roll-up, but it is now clad with aluminum sheet to make it maintenance free.”
“This cute little delivery van started it’s life in 1962 working for the Post Office as a mail route delivery van. It is on a jeep chassis, with a jeep 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. It is right drive and has roll up door in the rear – both very handy for delivery purposes. The running gear is good and the body is almost perfect, no dings or dents. 1 small rust spot! The paint is called Torrid Teal!! Recent application of clear coat. All glass is okay – one window has a small crack but solid. Interior is in good shape. Interior and exterior lights all work. Has a basic PA system for when it was an ice cream sales vehicle (not complete). Please e-mail if you have questions or need further information.
Current license and clear title.”
UPDATE: Starting bid price of $14,900 has no bidders. Was on eBay.
A few of the gauges don’t work.
“”Willy” as he’s known, is a 1962 Jeep Fleetvan built for the postal service by Willys up in Toledo, OH. They only built 100 of these trucks so this is one of literally a handful that are still out there. Not only that but this one has been built from the ground up with a small block 350 engine mated to a turbo 350 tranny and a camaro rear end. Starts right up and runs like a champ with plenty of power for this little mail truck. Could actually be a daily driver if you don’t mind that there aren’t many creature comforts. Continue reading →
