Runs and drives, but needs some TLC.
“For your consideration, a WW2 jeep, a Ford GPW, DOD 6/11/1945. This is a running vehicle, licensed and clear title, but needs some TLC, of course. It has matching serial numbers of engine, body, and frame. The engine is a recent rebuild with about 100 miles on it. The body is in fair shape and has many F marked parts. The bumper is not original and the rare crossmember is missing. It has been converted to 12 volt key start, and has an upgrade T-90 transmission. It has turn signals, hazards, seat belts, and an electric WS wiper for the driver side. It has aftermarket vinyl top and doors. The jeep has been outfitted with 11″ brakes and Rancho springs and shocks. There is a new master cylinder, new left wheel cylinder, new flexible left brake line. The fuel system has an original fuel tank, boiled out and relined, new fuel line with additional fuel filter inline, new fuel pump, rebuilt original Carter W-O carburetor. The air filter has been overhauled. The front seats are overstuffed naugahyde. It could probably use new tires soon. It can be a candidate for retro to original WW2 configuration, or continue with what you have. “

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $14,600.
“This is fantastic example of the classic Willy`s Jeep. Spent it`s life in California and Arizona. Frame off restoration over the past five years to include suspension, axle’s front & rear, transmission, engine, brakes, brand new Pirelli Scorpion tires, new seats, fuel tank, filters, body is excellent. Converted to 12 volt system with alternator. New canvas top still in bag. Runs great, shifts great. Still needs a few minor details. “

Project or parts.
“I have for sale a 1942 Ford GPW (Jeep). It is all in pieces but there is a rolling chasis. This is a great project for someone looking for an early war jeep. Got from a friend of ours that found a bunch in various stages that he bought and we bought one from him. I can show you pictures of what his looks like now and his is worth close to $15,000. Any serious takes let me know. Would be possibly interested in trades of equal value let me know what you have. Always looking for firearms and other 4×4 projects.”
Buz shared this surprising news that this 1943 GPW sold for $43,125 on July 12, 2014.
