Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is fantastic example of the classic Willy`s Jeep. Spent it`s life in California and Arizona. Frame off restoration over the past five years to include suspension, axle’s front & rear, transmission, engine, brakes, brand new Pirelli Scorpion tires, new seats, fuel tank, filters, body is excellent. Converted to 12 volt system with alternator. New canvas top still in bag. Runs great, shifts great. Still needs a few minor details. “

Frame is a 1945 GPW- all repainted
Flat 4 engine was professionally rebuilt and hasn’t been fired

Tub is 1947 Willys with not the greatest paint and body work

“I have for sale a 1942 Ford GPW (Jeep). It is all in pieces but there is a rolling chasis. This is a great project for someone looking for an early war jeep. Got from a friend of ours that found a bunch in various stages that he bought and we bought one from him. I can show you pictures of what his looks like now and his is worth close to $15,000. Buz shared this surprising news that this 1943 GPW sold for $43,125 on July 12, 2014.

“Jeep was acquired for a restoration project and stored in an enclosed barn for the past 10 years.
I have come to the realization that I will not be able to get to restoring it. It has a lot of potential as it comes with the original motor, drivetrain, frame and body. It has areas of rust and missing the fuel tank. The jeep is loaded with “f” marked parts and has all original Glove Box identification plates.
A great project. Jeep does not have title, but will come with a bill of sale and copy of the original bill of sale.”

(03/15/2014) It’s a project. There’s a number of updates. it has a fiberglass Bobcat hood.
“45 gpw jeep. Fairly rust free. Has 11″ brakes, warn overdrive, buick v6, front locker, power steering and tilt column. Comes with roll cage and soft top as well. Clean title in my name!
