“You are bidding on an early script 1942 Ford GPW with a low serial number,  under 8000 which makes it very rare.  It is one of the few produced GPW on Willys frame.  The vin on the frame matches the original data tag on glove box door.  The frame is in excellent condition with original front gussets sill in place as well as the original rear crossmember.   Original early axles are still on the jeep.  The correct hood with an early style lube chard holder bracket is in place.  The grill is also the correct flat top grill specific to the early jeeps.  Original reflectors are also still there as well as the original script bumperettes.  The engine bay is very complete with the exception of the voltage regulator.  Most of the top bow brackets and grab handles are still on the jeep with original script bolts.  Even the original style hood blocks are still in place.  Jeep does have some rust in the usual places but is can be restored.  I recommend that all interested parties come see the jeep in person before placing a bid.  I do have a title for the jeep.  If you are looking for a great project this is it.  I also have a few NOS parts that will go with the jeep such as lights , blackouts etc.”

This has the first rear centered gas tank I’ve seen. It’s missing steps. It appears to have a CJ-3B windshield.
