UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was on eBay

“You are bidding on a 1943 Ford GPW Serial Number 95032 with a DOD of 2-1-1943. The jeep has matching frame and glovebox data plate. The motor is actually out of an amphibious Ford GPA jeep.

This jeep found it’s way to me a few years ago and came out of the Reno, NV area where it had sat in a hanger for the last 20-30 years. The jeep was incredibly intact and complete. Nearly all the hard to find parts were/are there including the original tandom tow bar, original f script rear seat, f script top bows, and a ton of the little stuff like the oil can bracket. Really it was kind of an unrestored barn find of a gem. Unfortunately it did not run, needed a couple of body repairs, and had a few extra coats of paint with the last coat not catalyzed properly leaving it with a cracked and gooey texture. So, it needed some work and paint . . .”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3250

This needs a starter. This appears to have the original bumper.

“Cute Willys Jeep (former owner said it was 1944). Runs great, but needs a starter. Turn heads and always draws attention. World War II with civilian hood and later windshield. Former owner made a tailgate, which was not with the jeep originally. Located in Oxford.”

1944 GPW Sugar Hill, NH eBay

The seller notes this was purchased a few days ago for over $10,000. The grill and bumper aren’t original, but the rest looks solid. The paint on the dash appears a little rough.

“serial #176801 This Jeep was manufactured in by Ford February of 1944 using the Willy’s-Overland design. The vehicle has been nicely restored and wears fresh paint including “USMC / 58282” . The engine runs strong and the electrical system has been converted to 12 volt. The frame shows no evidence of being welded and seems very sound. The headlights along with the fuel, speed, amp and temperature gauges all function properly. The tires are all excellent and the vehicle comes with a spare tire, gas can, GI ammo crate, shovel and axe. It is currently registered as an antique vehicle in the state of Maine. This true classic represents one of the very first Jeeps made in the first three years of production and before a civilian version was even developed. The ultimate addition to your WWII military collection!

I bought this jeep SIGHT UNSEEN yesterday for over $10,000.00 at a gun auction in NH. I know nothing about jeeps. The description aboves comes from the auction catolog as does the pictures. Below is the auction link-PLEASE CHECK IT OUT FOR MORE PICTURES!

1946? Flattie Carmichael, CA **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

This is a mix of military and custom parts.

“Up for your consideration, is a very nice 1946 Military Jeep. It has a 327 Chevy engine with a 2 speed power glide automatic transmission. It has brand new Goodyear Wrangler LT 255/70 R 16, load range C, mud and snow tires, brand new rims, Warn Hubs, and a new Edelbrock carburetor. It is equipped with a tow bar and a rear tire mount. The hood is fiberglass. There is no rust-out on the body, and all the floor panels are very straight. It has an electric fuel pump and an 18.7 gallon gas tank sitting where the back seat would be, and a roll bar. It needs to have some electrical finished, i.e.; headlights, missing front turn signals, and windshield wiper. It also needs a sending unit installed in the gas tank. Three of the five gauges are also new. It is a very nice driver with a powerful engine. I bought the Jeep with intentions of finishing it off, but due to a crippling degenerative back condition, and a pending second back surgery, I am forced to sell it. I have tried to describe the Jeep to the best of my ability.”

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $2500 last august.

(08/21/2012) How about that front bumper!

“This auction is for a 1943 Ford GPW, NOT a Willys MB. This vehicle has been CHANGED to appear as a UTV. Not much is stock on this little jeep. It has a custom rack on the back, extra fuel tank in the back, new seats, Ford Falcon dash(?), and a V6. The engine runs very strong. See this video for footage of it running. The jeep is really quite cool. The only real work it needs is a broken left shock bracket. That’s it.

If you want to see the jeep in action go to youtube and type in “Bad ford GPW”. It should pull up a video titled “bad ford gpw in price, utah”. Watch it.

UPDATE:  I have added additional pics.  Is this a holden?  This has been sold.

There appears to be value here.

“1942 Ford GPW army jeep. I bought this jeep 6 years ago. it has no title but i will give a receipt. Wanted to restore or simply make a toy for 4-wheeling but times are tough. I bought a new carb, oil pump, fuel pump, and some other stuff. Needs lots of work like a radiator and gas tank and much more as you can see. I started it a few years back and it smoked like a train but no knocking so I beleive the motor is rebuildable. I beleive it has a nissan transfer case which I understand is in high demand.”
