Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Given the crossmember on this jeep, it looks like it’s an MB. I’m not sure what’s salvageable from this jeep.

It looks like this was an old school trail jeep that someone was modifying into a rock crawler.

“This model is actually a Ford. Has a F head motor (not original) 4 cylinder, 3 speed transmission, PTO Wench. The title is clean, and the jeep runs . Needs for this jeep is as follows: a passenger seat, one gauge glass is cracked,new speedometer and a U- joint for PTO, a new battery.I have some extra nick nacks,radiater,seals for balljoints,wipers,extra pto,and more.All parts go with sale . It is military version and has a gun mount.It has no tailgate. The Jeep has been kept in dry storage for many years. “No title, not presently running. Motor turns over with starter. Ran good and 4 wheel drive worked about 8 years ago. Brakes weren’t working at that time. I sold it and it sat around since then. I got it back and tried to start it but was unsuccessful. It no longer has a rear drive line or air cleaner. If you have either of those parts you’d like to sell, let’s talk. Hope to add pictures to ad tomorrow.

I found a website called 1943MB.com the other day and thought that it had some useful information. I didn’t realize it until now, but there’s a list of similar sites. While they look similar, they appear to have at least some different information (I didn’t investigate too closely). For example, the 1941MB.com site has a link to a slat grille rebuild.
One cool feature is the Napa Online Website Link for parts. Here’s a snapshot of it below.

I’m not a big fan of the bumpers, but everything else looks good on the GPW.
