This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “WWII Jeep project. This is a Ford GPW WWII Jeep. I believe it is a late 1943 or 1944 but I am not certain. The jeep is fairly complete and would make a good project for someone looking for a restoration that has been already started. The body is in fair condition with the front floor needing the most attention. The drivetrain is mostly there with the exception of some transmission parts. It has a WWII GPW motor that will need rebuilding. The pictures speak for themselves and are a good representation of what the Jeep is. Again this is a project and will need a good amount of work before it is ready for the road. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them. These are getting harder and harder to find in restorable shape especially the GPWs. I don’t have the time anymore or I else would finish restoring it myself but I would rather see it get finished then sitting around.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Appears in good shape.
“This 1945 Army Jeep with Willys trailer was meticulously restored by my uncle Erv.
From what I remember, he did a ground up restoration in the 1990’s and paid attention to detail. I do know he added and electric fuel pump a few years ago.
Erv was a mechanic in the army in the late 1950’s and always love military vehicles, this jeep was his pride and joy. I don’t think he ever missed a Memorial Day & Fourth of July day parade with it.

UPDATE: We’ve seen a small uptick scams on Craigslist. Thanks to John for finding this in the Ohio Craigslist at $15,000. I guess scammers need money for xmas gifts?? Besides, I didn’t think the background looked like Los Angeles.
