This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I have only had if for a few years myself (picked it up from an old time farmer who has since passed) since that time I ran across couple more (42 and another 43 that needs lots of work) so this one needs to go before I can start on them. The farmer says this 1943 GPW is one of the few original matching numbered jeeps left, and the old timer started rebuilding it and then sold to me with bill of sale just before he passed. I have had the engine professionally rebuilt top to bottom and put back in. Runs and drives great. I had put in a new radiator, gas tank,seat cushions Title can be gotten (guaranteed) just being I am not keepingit and let new owner put in his name”

(08/11/2016) “Willys Jeep GWF, manufactured by Ford. I am 3rd owner. Restored to daily driver and parade participant. 1961 Jeep F head engine. WW2 Navy markings. New tires, battery. Needs brake job, but drivable if you really mash the pedal. Clean title, current license.”
UPDATE:**SOLD** Was $15,699
(10/23/2016) Looks good. Has been converted to 12 Volt.
“1942 Ford GPW. I have a clear title. New tires, new canvas top and seats. Rebuilt carburetor. 5 combat rims. Original riveted brass data plates – numbers match the frame. This was a running jeep that was cleaned, repaired as necessary, painted, and returned to the original condition when obtained. It has been converted to 12 volts. with an alternator. It is believed that all the parts are original except for the front bumper and horn (try to find a Sparton horn at a decent price!) and of course, the alternator. There are a lot of Ford marked parts – it is assumed that those who did repairs and replacements did not worry about using Ford marked parts in the past.”

“1942 ford gpw. non scrip tub has original data plates witch match frame #s . truck needs total restoration. have most all parts to complete some new some nos . engine is a newer cj willys civilian block .but is the right l 134 4cil flat head . out of truck on stand here it run.. motor ran good so I re gasketed it new exhaust manifold . fuel pump. carb rebuilt. complete from carb to pan. runs good. will sell jeep or motor no parts 1500.00 jeep 1500.00 for motor 2500.00 for both”
