If you are look for a run around Jeep, OK. If you are looking for a quality restoration project, this Jeep is a disaster. It is sad the abuse inflicted on this early script Ford. Roll bar runs through the floor and is welded to the frame. The body was re-skinned. I cannot determine how much of the body is original or its condition. Drivers seat was extended two inches. Look over the pictures carefully. More pictures at:

On the good side: The engine spins freely be hand. It has the early scalloped axles. Early windshield hold down, Ford Script, and other F marks.

In addition, included will be the two windshield frames, hood and one combat wheel.”

This has an unusual roll bar setup. Unclear how much work it needs.

“I am selling my 1943 Ford Willy’s gpw. I have had this jeep for nearly 16 years. I somewhat restored it while I was younger but left for school and it sat for a while only being driven once or twice a year until the radiator blew a year or two ago. Since then it has sat waiting for some love. I currently don’t have the time or the money to get this where it needs to be. Hate to let it go but it’s hard to keep. “Located in Central West Texas.  Ford GPW numbers matching Jeep:  Frame number, engine number and body tag all match.  Frame is clean, F-stamped as shown. The Jeep has been registered on the G503 site indicating early spring production number by SN. The Jeep has been in Texas since it’s military sale.  It has been on a ranch used primarily for hunting.  There is no title to the Jeep. Here is your chance to own a Beautifully preserved original 1942 Ford “script” GPW Jeep. Very rust free body. Hood numbers and Nice undamaged data plates, serial #18xxx , 4/42 …..has Ford engine and drivetrain. An excellent Start to a museum quality restoration.
Frame etc. are in very good condition, Besides the rear crossmember that has been cut. I have included an original Ford crossmember to replace. unfortunately, Inside of body has various punched drain holes, that could quite easily be welded and patched.All Ford seats are also original to the jeep. Jeep did run before being put into very long term storage, will need to complete going through of all systems to be drivable. Does have original Ford engine block that turns with good compression. I will include the correct ford head. Extra missing parts as needed, including windshield.”
