About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

This vehicle is fully restored only 268 miles ago, rebuilt engine, transmission and transfer case, all new interior, gauges, tires, wheels and a replica browning 50cal. machine gun. Only used in parades, and driving around town. It runs and drives great, looks killer, super fun and a real 1942 icon. #25178. (09/25/2016) It doesn’t appear to come with a top. That’s a ‘need’ in Western Washington State!
“42 for gpw 327 Chevy t90 3 speed trans wrangler leaves Dana 44 axles hummer brad locks and tires totally restored new interior etc.
Turn key needs nothing”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800. I just noticed it has a PTO bar on the back.
I can’t tell for sure, but the extra rectangular data plate could indicate this was a reconditioned jeep. That could also be an explanation for the MB engine in the GPW chassis.
“I have a 1942 ford gpw that was made in April a 42 it is a script body has the t84 transmission that will shift has a willys MB engine im it Believe to be locked up has a title jeep will need a full restorations has some floor pans that are rusted through”
This was available a few years ago. I’m thinking that battery mount was not a field mod.
“1943 Ford GPW Willy’s Jeep for sale. GPW stands for Government Production willy’s. It has a 134 Willy’s motor (original) Go Devel. Jeep runs good. You do not have to have a title for these old jeeps

Wayne’s got this project for sale. The first two pics show it prior to disassembly.
“Matching numbers all original jeep.F parts include machine gun mount, steering wheel bracket, handles, bolts, seat frames, pintle hitch, bow frame brackets, radiator shroud, dashboard eye bolts, marker lights buckets and front covers, hood hinge, fenders, rear bumperettes, reflector frame and the tub of course.Original axe and shovel with 42 stamped in tempered axe head.original dated serial number gas can carrier.
Original bow frame, engine, transmission and running gear.Original steering wheel as well.has a cj windshield frame and the front horns and bumper will need work.most parts have been derusted and primed including the tub.the tub is original with Ford script on back.part of the front floorboard will need to be repaired as well as a few places around the outside of the tub where it was bondoed but will need to be cut oiut and patches welded.also will need a new gas tank well welded in and I would replace the passenger side rear quarter panel.
I have a replacement passenger side cowl step but havent purchased the other replacement parts yet.I have found the original early star pattern on hood overlapping onto the cowling as well as the “BOBCAT”stencil n the side.Unsure if that is the nickname of the sodier or referring to operation Bobcat of WW 2 on Bora Bora. Full of history I was going to make this a navy jeep grey with black accents making the Fs and Ford scripts stand out in matte black.i will post pics when i get a chance to upload them”
“This is a military Ford jeep. The tub is a reproduction and most of the running gear is all original. The frame is painted olive drab green. This jeep is pretty close to being all stock with the exception of the paint, rollbar and bumpers. I have a spare tranny, front & rear axles to through in. The engine was rebuilt and has less than a thousand miles on it. She rolls on sixteen inch tires and wheels. The wiring has a new style fuse panel and I added the signal lights. All gages work except the gas gage, which only needs a sending unit. Minor scratches in the paint, no rust to speak of. This Jeep is fun to poke around in. It has always been stored in the garage since I braught her back to life. ”
