Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The jeep includes a car trailer.
“This Ford GPW was born on April 14th. 1943. Serial number 108XXX. It has the original data plates. The flat head 4 cyl. is not the original engine. All under hood equipment is there. Voltage regulator is a civilian type. This Jeep sat in a pole barn in California since 1998 and has less than 50 miles on it since then. I did a DMV search and the title is clean. It showed no registration prior to 1998. I registered it in Oregon and registration is good until 2020. This Jeep needs some restoration or drive it as is. It is a driver. Starts reliably every time and brakes work.
The jeep comes on a trailer. Also comes with an all steel replica M1919A4 Browning machine gun with new in the box M48 glovebox mount and 5 combat rims.
I make no guarantees and the condition of sale (If you are interested) are as is, where is. I have much more information to share if you decide you want to look at it. I really want to sell this Jeep to someone who will honor its history and restore it to its former glory.”

“1942 Ford GPW. New tires, new canvas top and seats. Rebuilt carburetor. 5 combat rims. Original riveted brass data plates – numbers match the frame. This was a running jeep that was cleaned, repaired as necessary, painted, and returned to the original condition when obtained. It has been converted to 12 volts. with an alternator. It is believed that all the parts are original except for the front bumper and horn (try to find a Sparton horn at a decent price!) and of course, the alternator. There are a lot of Ford marked parts – it is assumed that those who did repairs and replacements did not worry about using Ford marked parts in the past.”

“I have a 1943 Ford GPW for sale. Jeep was running but has not been started in a while. I will attempt to start it this coming week. The jeep needs work but most of it is there. Comes with loose parts as well. It appears to be all original including the Ford GPW engine which is normally replaced with a Willys engine. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. 1945 Authentic Ford GPW Composite military jeep. $4250.00 OBO.
Front crossmember is square, (Ford GPW frame). M2 floor pan / frame has support brace for the M2 mount. Serial numbered correct date of manufacture. The rear storage bins are amazing–not rusted out at all. Latching mechanisms are complete, locks are not. Blackout lights and pivot “work” headlights work as designed. Coming with the Jeep–Many, many spare parts. The Jeep is complete, less the rear seat & emergency brake handle assembly.
