I don’t see any full floaters on the rear. The body may be sitting on a newer chassis.

“I have a very rare hard to find original ford script tub jeep. Ford was only able to brand their tub for a few months in 1942 before the government made them stop. There are very few of these original jeeps still around. I have a 134L engine for extra money. It comes with transmission and transfer case. Someone started putting power steering in it. No seats. It comes as you see it in the pictures. Its a full restoration project. Please call, text or email any questions. Clean clear title.”

Engine is seized.

“1942 Script Ford GPW. Delivered to the Army on April 29, 1942.
This is a great jeep and has matching frame and body. The engine was a World War II era replacement. This is a great piece of history and has been a joy to own.
The engine has seized and the transmission needs to be repaired.”

1943 GPW Tullytown, PA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB) This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $950.

(04/14/2016) Steve forwarded this one. I wouldn’t say it is a “great” candidate for restoration; more accurate to say it is badly in need of restoration.

“I have a all orginal 43 Willys gpw. 9 slot grille, with solid tailgate. Jeep was pulled from a collapsed barn in upstate pa.

The bad: Engine is either locked it the trans, because rear axel will not spin..
Also it was hit on the front driver side so the grille and fenders are bent but can be repaired.

The good: it’s a great candidate for a restoration as it’s almost complete minus the seats.
It has the body tags and data plates so acuiring at title would not be hard.”

1942 GPW Grass Valley, CA **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3653.

Has some updates.

“Here is your chance to own a piece of History. This is the real deal, a Ford GPW. Not many left, and likely saw service in WWII. This one features a Willys flathead 4 cylinder, t90 3 speed trans, twin stick transfer case, and dana axles. The hood still has some original military markings, and there are still some F script parts. This rig runs like a singer sewing machine and has literally logged thousands of miles in the sierras on a multitude of cool back country trips. The price is more than fair for a turn key piece of history. No offers without seeing the rig, yes it can be shipped worldwide at your expense.”

UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $6500.

Runs, but needs work.

“Hello, I have a 1944 military jeep with a title ready for someone to finish. It comes with all the parts pictured, as well as a new carb and the two front seat frames. Tires are excellent. It has the Willy’s 4 cylinder engine and t90 transmission. It runs and drives but needs brakes. Tub has rust mainly in front floor but the whole thing is a little rough. It is not all stock original but a cool little jeep. Email your # if you want to view it or have any questions. I am firm on the $6,500. Clean title!”

1942 GPW Visalia, CA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB) This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.

Runs, but needs some work.

“1942 Ford Military Jeep. This jeep was purchased by my family right after World War II. We have owned it for over 70 years. It has a flat head Ford 4 cylinder. The Jeep has always resided in Central California. It runs but will need the brakes to be looked at. The brakes worked fine but the Jeep sat for a few years and now they are not working. Should be something simple. It is all original and has minor surface rust. My plan was to restore it but life has changed and I want it to go to someone who will restore it and get some good use out of it such as military parades or whatever interests the jeep brings. Currently I have the Jeep at a friend’s shop in Visalia. If you want to view it call or text me and I will make arrangements for viewing.”
