“GPW starts right up, lifted, Registration Jan 14 ($473.50), brand new 33/12.5/15 on centerlines, some rust, undercoated frame, new reupholstered bucket seats, seat belts added (these years did not come with seat belts), needs windshield (flat glass can be cut through auto windshield companies here), possibly matching numbers (still have to check), bikini top, 4 wheel drive works

There is a very small dent on the cowl and good sized one on the top edge of the left quarter. This is out of the original shipping crate and will NOT be shipped. This is a pick up item only. “Here is a really solid 1942 Ford GPW Jeep for sale.
It runs and drives great!
I have put over $8,000 in work on it in the past year to get it restored, but I moved to the city and no longer have the time and space to finish the restoration.
The engine was changed out back in the 1950s to the later Willys F head engine. Runs like a top.
Parts that have been rebuilt or replaced in the past year:
Suspension
Carburetor
Brakes
Wheels
Tires
Transmission
Transfer Case
Drive shafts
Wheel bearings
And a few other small things.

It functions really well, but just needs someone to come in and finish it for a really nice show or parade vehicle.
Own a piece of history!

I love this old jeep and don’t want to sell, but I just can’t give it the attention it needs and deserves.
Will be happy to answer any questions. ”

This is not a jeep that you would restore as its value is in the current RUST FREE patinaed ” worn look as if it came from a time warp” condition, parade quality that gets the attention plus safe to drives as it has seat belts and roll bar. Recent complete break overhaul but may need a new head gasket as tends to run warm sometimes. ”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.

(11/12/2015) That appears to be a VEC CJ-2A body with a filled in tailgate. The rear axles aren’t full floating. Might be a mix of parts. The dogs look in reasonable shape.

It appears to be a mix of 2A and GPW parts.

“Selling my ww2 ford gpw, built in September of 1943. Data plates are intact, motor is Willys and not matching. Not completely ford some period Willys parts, typical of vehicles that saw action in ww2. Not running but have new timing chains and doesn’t look like it would take much. Gas tank restored and relined. Just a few too many projects right now call preferred. Is titled in Texas never got the title from owner but can provide that, will need a week or so and can give a bill of sale temporarily. Not going to find an original jeep cheaper”
