“1942 early 5 digit serial number for sale. I purchased this little gem with the intentions of finishing it, and parking it next to my other GPW-6382 which is finished, but it will not see the day. I have disassembled this little gem, soda blasted everything in regards to the frame, axles, and driveline. Primered, and painted 34087 (darker I know). The tub is in great shape, but on a trailer and hasn’t been touched. It needs a rear panel, hat channels, and some TLC, but in excellent condition. The engine ran when I parked it, with no oil in the water or visa versa. It has been torn down, boiled out and magnafluxed. It is a good core to rebuild, and I have all the internals and externals.
I have purchased way too many new parts to list, so you will just have to come see it to appreciate it. Continue reading
It’s a project.
“Partial restoration started. Ready for the next person to finish it or part it out. Includes tow adapter and tail lights with wiring and 4 prog flat plug All manuals bound in easy access binder. Original data plates and all the parts in the back you need to finish up. Frame number matches the data plates but the engine does not. New split wheels, tires and tubes as well. $1200.00 spent just for those. New gauges, master cylinder, bearings, brakes on two wheels and cylinders. Lots of new parts. Was a script jeep until the last owner cut a tailgate into it. Said the engine ran but I cannot verify that since he started the dismantle. Never been titled. Front grill is off a 46 jeep but body and frame match data plate showing 42.”
