Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (05/01/2010) “This is a project or parts car but is very unique. The motor does run and the transmission works. I cut out the rear floor pans and have the replacements this also has no interior but i have the top frame to it. I may consider trades for a boat. Thanks.”

NEW PAINT, CLOTH OEM WIRING HARNESS, 8 VOLT BATTERY WITH ORIGINAL 6 VOLT SYSTEM, ALL NEW BRAKES, RECONDITIONED RADIATOR AND FUEL TANK. “For Sale is a complete 1950 Willys Overland Jeepster Convertible in restorable condition.
I have just completed a duplicate and the results are very impressive. Fun car to drive and turns a lot of heads. Newly rebuilt F-134 4 cylinder engine with 3 speed transmission. Engine is very strong and transmission is in good condition. Some rust in floor boards and rocker panels which are easily found online. All parts available to fully restore. Good tires, brakes stop but will need to be replaced. Includes convertible top and side curtains. Paint is passable but you will probably re-paint to complete this excellent project car. Too many projects and too little time. First $5,000 cash take it”

This vehicle has just been completed and has approximately 25 total miles on the brand new Chevy crate HO350 engine, and entire rebuilt drive train, SM465 4-speed, Dana 18 transfer case with twin-stick shifters and Warn Overdrive, and Dana 44s from the donor 1983 Wagoneer – All freshly rebuilt.
Drive to the summer 4 wheel drive events in the coolest, newest old Jeep around. Or just drive it around town, top down, enjoying the Summertime! Jeep (ie Willys Overland) COULD have offered this vehicle in 1950. Instead, they chose to offer everything only in 4WD while the Jeepster was only available in 2WD. This is the truck that should have been ….”
