“This is a great street rod. All built on a mid 80’s CJ-8 frame and suspension. Powered by a 350 chevy V-8 engine, automatic 350 turbo transmission,CJ-8 transfer case, power steering, front disc brakes, full folding convertible top with refurbished bows and all the side curtains. Has a center console, nice seats, heater, wipers, stereo, new gauges, and new carpet and trim panels. The car drives nice and tight. It is an absolute blast to drive. ”

Ted shared this nice looking Commando.
“This Kaiser Jeepster Commando Truck (Half Cab) is pure joy. I can’t tell you how much fun this little truck can be. I drove a 69 Jeepster when I was in high school, and when this 1971 project presented itself, I couldn’t resist. I bought this Jeepster from a guy who had it parked in a airplane hanger around Colorado Springs. Because I was very familiar with the original Jeepster’s I took great pains to find original parts and did my best to make it as pure of a Kaiser Jeepster as possible. I even bought a Half Cab that had been crushed to obtain the orignal black moulding pieces (that are impossible to find!). The white truck bed cover is an original Whitco Jeepster top that I was lucky to find new in the box. This Jeepster has a Dauntless V6 motor with a three speed transmission. The 4 Wheel Drive works very well.
I’ve driven it back and forth from Colorado to Wichita KS several times. I have an excellent mechanic in Estes Park as well as another in Wichita. These guys have loved working on it. I have had everything reviewed, and this car is in as good of shape as one could expect from a 1971 Jeepster. The Half Cab’s really turn an eye. It seems to me that many people have seen the Station Wagon’s and the Convertible’s but have seldom seen the Truck.”
