Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “The engine turns over but the Willys does not drive. My mechanic recommends a new (used) engine, steering rod needs re-welding, and the brakes need to be looked at. The body needs touch ups but overall the body is solid, soft-top is in good shape, I installed a new battery in September 2017. I’m asking $7000 for it as is. It’s different!
“Sweet start to an awesome Rat rod! Yes it’s a 50 nose but register it as a 48 and run fenderless! It has a great running 394 Oldsmobile big block. 70k miles. Automatic transmission. 4 link rear. Z’d frame. Semi-elliptical front end. Breaks are done all the way around. Needs an e brake, windshield wipers and door hinges to pass inspection. I have a ton of hours into this so don’t lowball me!”

“1968 Jeepster needs some TLC That’s why I’m not selling it for $45,000 or more when It’s all fixed up.
Real nice tuck and roll interior.
some minor problems I noticed:
1: stears kind of difficult. 2: needs some paint. 3: back window bottom needs re-gluing to convertible top.
I believe in the condition it is in now it’s value is still quite high.
