“Offering for sale a 1969 Jeep Commando 4×4 with removable hardtop. Easy project vehicle that runs great, with lots of recent upgrades and extra parts included. Needs some minor tinkering to be a daily driver. Could be a fun winter rig or the basis for a kick-ass rock climber.
THE GOOD
Original Buick Dauntless 225 cu in V6 engine with bombproof TH400 automatic transmission
Original Dana 44 rear axle and Dana 27 front axle with manual locking hubs
New aftermarket aluminum radiator
New Holley 2-barrel carburetor
New custom exhaust system (by Ammerman’s in Garden City)
New windshield and rubber gasket

“Have a ’48 jeep willy for sale. Selling for my uncle. It runs and drives just fine, body is mint.
70k original miles
Brake system works, just needs a new Right Front Master Cylinder $40
Brand new tires
Brand new top, new wood for it as well, needs to be stretched out fully.
Original 6V system, everything works, including the wipers
Runs great, carb needs a cleaning, due to unleaded gas.
Seats are original as well.

He will show the vehicle when it is not raining and during the work week in Marblehead

UPDATE: Still Available.

(08/24/2017) Looks like a solid vehicle, but the engine smokes some and the top may need a repair.

“1950 Jeepster
Solid car, 4 cylinder, overdrive.
Nice car for restoration or updating.
All four side curtains are with the car.
The top is old and one of the seams has separated.
The engine runs fine but smokes.
These are difficult to find that have not been cut up and modified.
All of the hard to find trim and unique to Jeepster parts etc. are still on the car.
Please only serious inquiries.”
