Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. 6 cylinder engine, about 653 of these produced only 49 had this engine!

Interior has been stripped down, just haven’t had time to get this project going..”

“1968 Jeepster Commando 4 x 4 Convertible . Vin # 8705F1726240. Mileage reads 50,383 original miles. Powered by the original V6 engine. 3 speed manual transmission with 2 speed transfer case with locking hubs. Comes with a tow bar and is wired for towing (apparently spent a lot of time behind a motor home). Runs and drives good. Has been repainted sometime in the past and has flaking paint in spots. Remarkably rust free with only one very small spot on the drivers side. The top is removable, comes with back seat that was left out in the weather and the material has been damaged. This Jeepster feels like a good reliable driver.”

There are two jeepsters for sale as a package.
