UPDATE II: This *might* have evolved into a scam. The seller agreed to sell to one buyer and provided directions to get the vehicle, but now is avoiding the buyer’s calls.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900
Here is an odd one I spotted on Facebook. It reminds me of Bob’s odd Jeepster-like vehicle.
“This is a very strange “Jeep like” vehicle that is not a Jeep. I was told that it was possibly a specialty vehicle built in the 60s and that it originally had a 4 or 6 cylinder engine that the previous salvage yard owner removed and sold. 2 wheel drive. No seats or top frame. It has full length curved metal running board fenders that Jeeps never had. It also has a center console that housed the shifter. It was originally painted a coral pink color so the possibility exists that it was a resort shuttle vehicle. It is NOT, repeat NOT, a Jeep Surrey model! They look nothing like this “thing”. No engine or transmission. I saved it from a salvage yard over 10 years ago. It has 14 inch “A.J. Foyt” mag wheels that probably are original. Rusty but restorable. Buy it for $900 firm, fix it up, and have the only one out there.”
Carson is selling his Jeepster project.

“Selling my 1968 Jeepster C-101 Commando. It was Jeep’s version of the Ford Bronco and IH Scout. It has a SOLID frame, I just painted the whole thing. Has a nice big front brushguard with D ring hooks too. Front and rear ends are good, both Dana’s with 5 bolt hubs. Front hub lockers (Warn I think), new rear leaf spring packs, and solid front ones.
It has a BUILT Dauntless 225 V-6 (Factory motor). This motor has been completely gone through! New connecting rods, Isky Cams and Cranks, Isky lifters and valves, EVERY gasket has been replaced, and I also have all the extras. New distributor cap, newer plug wires, new spark plugs, a new water pump, new alternator, and most of the hardware has been replaced with grade 8. It will need an alternator bracket and radiator.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4800.
It doesn’t run.
“1949 Willys Overland Jeepster. Vehicle has a Ford 200 6 cyl that does not run, everything else is all original. Very little rust in the lower rear quarter panel. Otherwise very solid body. I have the top bows.”
Reminds me of a pink surrey.
“I have a nice little restoration project for sale, Its a convertible and no holes in the body just minor surface rust. I do have some parts for the restoration. It has a new chevrolet motor and tranny never been started in it. Great project for the right collector or family ??”
UPDATE: Was $850. **SOLD**
Might be some parts value here.
“This is a 1951 Willys Overland Jeepster. I bought it to turn into a hot rod, but ran into another that was partially built, so this one became a parts rig. It has no floor and no steering column. I have most of the trim for this as well as the windshield, seats (most) and the top. These are known for their very solid frames which have a LARGE X brace in the middle, so you can add your horsepower with little worry. For an extra $300 I’ll throw in an AMC Pacer front suspension I was gong to install. It’s a nearly perfect fit and gives you independent front suspension, power rack and pinion steering and disc brakes, much better than the original transverse left spring setup. The only thing I’ll need to keep for my own project is the back seat frame. I have another, but this one is nicer. Good Ohio title in hand.”
UPDATE ***SOLD** Was $19,500.
Glenn forwarded this nice looking Jeepster.
