About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
UPDATE: See Jim’s description in the comments about this very unusual prototype.

“Up for sale is a 1950 Willys Jeepster, a truely special rare car that deserves a home that will appreciate it. This Jeepster is one of only 5,836 that were produced in 1950. It is an extremely solid car, the paint is in great shape, and the interior is in great shape as well. Extremely solid, no rust except for a minor rust bubble on the rear driver fender shown in the pictures. This Willys runs great and is ready for a new owner. This Jeepster has the overdrive option.”
The looks like a good candidate for a restoration.

“Finished in yellow and blue, this Jeepster was restored and painted with PPG two stage paint, applied by John Johnson, then topped off with beautiful hand-painted graphics and pinstriping, done by Pete “Hot Dog” Finlan of Monster Garage fame. The paint is absolutely incredible, showing no imperfections and shining like the day it was finished! The customization didn’t stop at the paint job … this Jeepster has shaved suicide doors and a shaved power trunk! The front end of the Jeepster is all tube style with coil-overs and the rear end is a bulletproof Ford 9” 31 Spline. Not only was this rig made to turn heads, it was made to actually drive! More info on eBay”
“1949 Willys VJ This is a great car, fun to drive and a real head turner. I purchased this last winter from a private seller in AZ who had been rebuilding it and he tried to keep it as original as possible. It was near finished and I added a few things to it. Here is a list.
New: top and side curtains, frame for top, gas tank and sending unit, exhaust pipe and muffler, fuel pump, turn signals, hub caps, seats covers, a new overdrive, chrome bumpers, steering wheel with suicide knob, outside mirrors, dash nobs and carb kit. The engine is a totally rebuilt 4 cyl. (lead-free gas) by a Jeep expert in Phoenix and it has a newer paint job with a few small road chips and almost all of the chrome is new and looks excellent. I had a slider built for the driver’s seat so it can be adjusted. It is a six volt system and has radial tires that are like new. It has always been garaged.
Things I did not get to: back brakes need new seals and the transmission has a problem with 2nd gear slipping out at times.”
