Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1952 willys with a very good tub and frame. has original axles and body and frame. has a m38a1 grill. the person i bought it from had motor mounts for a smalll block chevy and partial boxed frame. i dont have time for the project so figured its time to sell it. no engine trans or transfer case.

(12/26/2013) It’s missing the parking brake, but otherwise looks solid.
“1951 m38- rebuilt transmission, transfer case, new clutch, new pilot shaft, throwout bearing and 4 new universal joints. New fuel tank and sending unit. all new guages. new speedometer cable with stock guage. new emergency brake handle, cable, shoes and drum. been converted to 12 volts. frame was under coated years ago and we started cleaning it off-no rust through. engine runs smooth and does not burn oil or over heat. current registration and street legal. rifle rack is available with garand -if wanted. call for more details or photos.”

“Barn Find 1951 Willys MB38 jeep. Has been park for years in barn and outside. Complete vehicle with Texas Title. Jeep was dip in rubber by military so paint looks different. Tires are bad”

“I have a m38 willys flat fender rolling chassis(tub, axles, springs, hood, grill, fenders, frame, and tailgate). The frame has been sandblasted and primed.”

“1951 M38 Willys military jeep, original l-head flat head engine, all stock running gear, warn overdrive, has safety upgrades of 11″ brakes and Saginaw steering, the body is virtually rust free , the only rust is surface stuff, dent free , and no bondo, the seats are not original. It is currently registered non-op, in my name . It runs but is going to need a carburetor rebuild and a brake master cylinder, I just have too many projects , and this sweet little jeep deserves to be treated well. ”

“This is a complete body off restoration. Over $6900.00 was spent finding the correct parts. Objective of restoration was to bring this military jeep to complete military specs as it was in 1951. Engine was completely rebuilt and runs perfect.
Comes with canvas top, sides, doors , correct tool kit, correct tire chains, and correct manual air pump.”

“1951 Willys M38. Original Vin and Black License Plate. Runs and Registered. Has Buick V6, Dana 27 front end and Dana 44 rearend, Spicer 4 speed trans, power steering, front disc brakes, dual brake master cylinder, Edelbrock 4 bbl Carb, pointless distributor, aluminum radiator w/ electric fan, dual exhaust, 12 volt conversion, 4 inch spring over (perches left on bottom to lower if you wanted), 33×12.5×15 AT BFGoodwrench tires, top with doors tow bar and many extra parts. No trades, cash only. $3600”

“52′ willys mb38 was a dirt race jeep, no title, 225 odd fire v-6 short block rebuilt, rings, bearings, reman crank, new cam, heads need done, old offenhauser 4 bbl intake, old rusted headers, dana 44 front & rear w 4.10 gears, turbo 400 automatic, dont remember tcase but think is a model 20, set of old paddle tires on old steel wheels for rear, $2000 OBO opens to trades worst can say is no.
