This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Clean title in hand. VIN# (serial #) on title matches original badges. I also have the “arctic” package for this jeep, which includes the hardtop and full doors. Jeep is a 3 speed manual and has the PTO unit (to the rear). Sears Roebuck lockout hubs. The engine is an F-134 “Hurricane” (as I’ve determined from the identification numbers on the block). I was told the jeep had been issued to Minot AFB in North Dakota. As I am told, I am the 3rd titled owner from the US Military. After being sold publicly, this jeep ended up on a farm in Minnesota. I also have a copy of the original technical order (manual) as issued by the US Military. The frame appears to only have surface rust and is not compromised. The jeep runs and start on the first turn! It has been updated to a 12-volt system.

“Family situation forces sale. 1953 Hurricane engine, T-90 transmission, new glass, newer tires, newly rebuilt generator, 12 volt, newer battery, new regulator. The tool channels were filled with bondo.
The id number is a MB number, but is considered a 1947 by the DMV. The tub is a MB. The jeep was modified for a film to look like a M38. The driver side has been smoothed over with bondo at some point, but the ribs for the tools can be seen on the inside.
The window is post war as well as the M38 grille.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price.
Not sure how much value is here. It is listed as a 1947 CJ-2A. It might have a mix of parts.
“47 flat fender project. Was going to build it for my daughter to drive to high school but had a change of plans. It is currently registered and titled in my name. No motor or trans but the complete chassis and body is there just far from perfect. The tool box under the passenger seat is not rotted. Interested in trading or selling. Always looking for chevy/gmc stuff preferably 4×4 but open to offers just no fords.”
This has a few mods. It lacks bumpers??

This could be a good price. Seller indicates this was a never assembled, crate bought M-38. And, it includes a trailer!

This originally belonged to the State of Montana.
“THE BEST X-MAS GIFT EVER!! 1952 Willys Overland M38 For Sale!! A TRUE PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY!! This jeep was given to the State of Montana after serving in the Korean War. Only one owner after sold from the State Of Montana. Runs good, drives good and stops. Military Issued “Cold Weather Package.. (Heater and Solid Doors With Top..) The top is original all aluminum construction with original doors. The vehicle has a coat of “blue” paint over the top of the “Army Drab” the original paint can be seen and inspected around much of the vehicle. Decal and production plates intact on the vehicle.. Clear title with no hassles to drive it away!”
