Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. A front crossmember has been added. Sometimes that means a different engine has been installed.

“I have a M38 in good condition for its age. There is no major rust, just some minor surface rust. It is all original with a 24 volt electrical system, winch and auxiliary heater. The jeep has been painted over a few times but the army insignia is still visible on the hood and with some research a collector could find what unit this jeep belonged to. Electric winch on the front. The engine is free but not running, transmission is free and shifts into all gears, transfer case is also free. Comes with soft door frames and a new fuel tank”
