About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“52 Willys has a Marine Corps vin. Put new head gaskets, freeze plugs and valve cover gasket. Passenger side head is cracked. Has a 78 Buick Skyhawk engine. I just don’t have the time to fix it right now and need the money and it gone.”
This is a former forest service jeep. It’s got an FS data plate. It runs and drive. Seller says it is rust free.
“1951 M38 Barn find. Has been sitting inside since 1970. This jeep has never been licensed or registered for the road. It was bought at government auction and put away. As seen in pictures, there is a US Forestry plate riveted to the dash. This jeep was given to the Forestry where it was used and then sold at auction. It is rust free. Beautiful hat channel underneath. It has 28,000 original miles. It is 12 volt. I have all the original 24 volt generator, distributor, voltage regulator that goes with it. It is just the way the government sold it. It runs like a top.
Absolutely beautiful. Has original gas tank, all cleaned out and small repair. Still has the screen in the gas tank. The only thing that appears to have been added, or possibly put on by the Government before the sale, are the rims and tires. No bondo. No repairs have been made to the body. Brake master cylinder needs to be repaired or replaced. A brand new one comes with the jeep. Carburetor brand new rebuild. New battery, water pump. Ready to go. Call for more info $8,000 OBO Would consider a partial trade for WWII jeep.”

“For sale. 1950 m38 Jeep (cj3a). Flathead 4 cyl engine. 3 speed trans. New tires. Ready to go. I have just installed a brand new gear reduction starter, I should have done this sooner, it is awesome. New 12 volt system, drive it anywhere (at 45 to 50 mph-top speed). Street legal. Tagged and insured. ”
Looks nice. Seller intentionally kept some of the dents/dings.
“1951 M38 Willys Jeep. Original flat head motor, tranny, drive line. All original parts. 24 Volt. Body off restoration by previous owner. Body and frame media blasted and painted original color green. Body dents and bruises unrepaired to preserve the authenticity and history of the Korean war. Runs and drives beautifully. New top and old top. 5,075 original miles. Was previously owned by local marine organization who used the jeep soley (for riding marine veterans who were no longer able to walk) in local parades.”
“Korean War era and early Vietnam War, last of the flat-fender jeeps. This is the military version of the CJ3A. This jeep was only produced for three years. Completely restored, rust cut out and replaced. Everything cleaned, sandblasted, or replaced, as close to original as I could get. Many original parts were used. Jeep has 21,000 original miles. Runs and drives great. Many years ago, was used for Civil Air Patrol at Cleveland Air Force Base, was painted blue, but I stripped off the old paint and re-painted. New leaf springs, original 24-volt system. New wiring harness from Vintage Wiring of Maine. Top and seat covers by Beachwood Canvas, seats have springs. The jeep is ready for whatever you want to do with it.
I’m working on a 1952 Strick M100 Trailer which will be ready soon. Trailer will have new floor, shocks, tires, canvas cover, and wiring harness. I will sell this trailer with jeep or by itself. I only have trailer restoration pictures right now.
Asking $16,000 for the jeep. Jeep and trailer $18,000. Trailer separate will be $2,500.”
