Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1951 M-38, reproduction CJ3A body, original engine with Solex carb, transmission and transfer case in excellent condition. Original front and rear axles, new springs front and rear, upgraded seats, new tires and spoke wheels with 0 miles, new dash gauges, custom front bumper, new windshield glass. Drives and runs great. $7,000.”

Needs some work.
“Barn find Willys M38 jeep with new military tires with spare.12 volt system. Runs good, needs carb cleaned, will idle with choke on. Shifts fine. No brakes or lights. Has a winch on front, not sure if it works. Has bumps and bruises, little rust. not bad though. Have glass for windshield. No title, just bill of sale. Dont need help selling.”

Seller listed this as a “Barrett Jackson Special”, but at least it isn’t priced like one!
