This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Korean War 1951 Willys M-38. Rare Arctic Cab. 1982 Capri Ford 2.3L 140 CU. New 11″ self adjusting brakes, new seals all through. New Rancho springs. Winch operates from inside or outside, original Warn overdrive. New glass in lay down windshield. Too much to list.”
Seller listed this as a “Barrett Jackson Special”, but at least it isn’t priced like one!

“What I have here is an old antique Army Jeep. It is a Willys M 38. It has all the military data plates on the dash. It has an unusual Military hard top with the data plate on it. It is called the Artic top. Somebody converted it to a 6 cyl Chevy engine. It it runs good. 4 Wheel drive works as it should. It has no breaks. Left rear brake line is leaking. I bought this with the intensions of restoring it. But I have to many projects and not enough time. If you are reading this then it’s still for sale. Please include a phone # and the subject matter to weed out the spam.”

“Take a look at this completely rebuilt beautiful 1951 Willys M38 Army Jeep. Serial # MC21962
This jeep was rescued from a gentleman in Huntsville Alabama in 2014. It underwent a frame off rebuild. I’ve owned over thirty jeeps and have rebuilt/restored approx. 25 of them and have sold them successfully on e-Bay. This Jeep had been moderately used during it’s active life and was in need of rebuild. The frame and drive train were complete but needed some minor repair work. The engine is a correct MC engine that was just professionally rebuilt by Sigafoos Machine shop in Easton Pa. I had to replace the tub with a reproduction tub, but many of the other components are original Willys. The jeep has its military components de-commissioned – i.e. water fording gear removed, and 24 volt converted to 12 volts, has professionally rebuilt military Carter YF carburetor .
Everything has been gone through on this jeep and everything has been sand blasted, cleaned, repainted, or replaced with new, NOS, or repro parts. Continue reading

Runs and drives. Steps have been replaced and the side patched.
“I have a 1952 Willys M38 Military Flatfender Jeep. Has a L-head (flathead) 4 cylinder in it, motor was rebuilt several years ago at Glenn Joiner and Son in Winter Garden. Has a rebuilt transmission that was just done a couple months ago. Runs and drives but has a leaking hard brake line so pedal is spongy. New hoses and shoes all the way around. Custom Stainless Steel gas tank. I also have a windshield and frame (not pictured) but the glass has a crack in it. Also have the rear bumper and tail lights but they are currently sitting in the back of the jeep along with a tow hitch. Fun little jeep to drive on the weekends or take camping. Has a clean title. ”
