“I have an 1961 M38A1 military jeep 4×4 issued to the us marine corp. it has an original f head 4cyl engine, not sure if its the original engine its been converted to 12v dc has two new batteries, floor pan under fuel tank has been replaced. floor pan has been coated with hurculiner. have soft top and hard top w metal doors. black out front running lights have been converted to running lights and wired to be street legal. exhaust has been upgraded. does not have military carburetor. intake has been modified to use k&n filter. 8000lb warn winch on the front. have an original service manual. top speed 45-50mph. new 31″ tires no spare but have spare tire carrier. has been wired to tow with a 4way flat. 40,500 miles fun jeep asking $5000. runs and drives great. “I have a restored 1954 Willys M38A1 Military Jeep for sale. Delivered to the Army in February 1954. Runs excellent. Newly rebuilt fuel pump. Engine runs at a steady 50 pounds of pressure and purrs like a kitten. The body is 99% rust free and original. Has all 3 seats,top bows,still all 24 Volt electrical, correct gas tank, new canvas winter top,top bows,jerrycan,pintle hook, shovel,axe, new canvas seat cushions, parking brake works, transmission shifts great(very smooth),new clutch, transfer case works great as does the 4 wheel drive. Has 5 brand new(100 miles on them) Military NDCC tires, correct rims, has had all new brakes put on. New exhaust system. Windshield wipers and all lights work. Has 2 new 12 volt batteries. Just changed the oil and filter last night. INCLUDES a NON-FIRING(cannot be made to fire),display .30 Cal. M1919A4 machine gun, M31A1 mount.pintle,travel arm. Looks AWESOME when installed! “55′ M38A1″C” army jeep for restoration. A rare 106mm recoilless rifle version of the m38a1. Jeep body is pretty beat, but still has some hard to find accessories that can be transferred to a better body. Engine is the original, but does not turn over. Frame is very nice, with the coil helper springs in the back. Sold as is, no warranty…Bill of sale only.”

(10/18/2013) Nothing fancy, but looks like a solid jeep that might be easy to restore.
“For sale here is my military Jeep, M38 A-1. This jeep has gone trough frame off restoration in 1990s and is rust free. Going back to school, too much toys.
Has F-134 engine, 6300 miles on it since rebuild
T-90 3 speed with ATV overdrive. Front diff locks, High Neutral and Low Transfer Case
K&N air filter. 16 in rims.
Fresh Engine oil every 2000miles , fresh transmission/transfer oil, and differential fluids, regular join lubrication.
It is registered and insured drive it to work twice a week.
It comes with Bikini top and soft doors. full size spare
Original black CA plates,Repair&Troubleshoot Manuel w/pictures, parts catalog. Comes with extra set of new brake pads, (wouldn’t need it for long time)
I have the title.
This Jeep is turn key, you can drive it home, I can also deliver it locally for free.
The paint job is not the best I have ever seen, but I like non nonchalant look.

“Military M38A1, (looks like CJ5) has newer V6 engine, runs good, has 1/2 metal top and doors. Body is fair, will run and drive but it needs work to be road worthy. Does have new tie rods and shocks on it.”
