It runs and drives. Looks like a deal to me.
“Here we have I think is a military M38A1 ?? Data tags read 8 / 53 dont know much about it. Runs good, will need a
tune up. Has a 134 F head engine with a T 90 3 speed trans which will need rebuilt.. Body is not bad for its age . frame is solid…. $1000.00 OBF”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
There seems to be a few items missing from this.
“For your consideration a VERY RARE 1955? Willys M38a1″D” army jeep in partially restored condition. Good running, with new brakes and civilian F-head motor, without the 24 volt accessories The frame is nice along with the suspension modifications… Body has the original cut down and reinforced side, along with side mounted spare reinforcements. Missing the dash plates..
You dont find these jeeps too often with only few in existence. ONLY 50 or so ever made! Your chance to own the rarest of the “A1″ series jeeps. This vehicle needs to be completely torn down, and restored properly. Floor boards will probably need replacement, as well as some body panels. Amateur restoration was done years ago to prevent further deterioration. Looks nice now, but is not professionally done.”
Not pretty but has full cages and runs.
“1954 Willys Jeep runs good, pretty solid. Good condition for it’s age. 1-920-296-9012”
There might be some value here.

The pullbar and winch might be worth $400 by themselves.
“i am selling my 1953 willy’s Jeep. No motor included. Motor is rebuilt and still in the shop approx. $ 1500 to get it out. Has tops windshield and numerous parts to go with it”
This doesn’t run. Mark has this listed over at Sellajeep.com.
“1955 m38a1, very complete, all orig 24v motor, even has orig blackout light, back seat, orig markings. Not running, lost title, 20 years in barn, needs minor floor repair, 5 matching correct tires/rims $1500 Jim 609-654-5070 New Jersey”
Still runs.
“1954 Willys Jeep 4×4. Runs and drives good. It is in very good condition for it’s age. Alot of fun. 1-920-296-9012”
This is a little rough, but looks complete. Mark has it listed at warjeeps.com.
“Willys Jeep, model M38A1. She runs but needs a bit of body work. Been sitting for a while now and needs batteries but with a little love, this would be a perfect hunting partner. I do not have the specifics other than it was built in 1953, plus or minus a couple of years. $2,000.00 Mike 719-641-1957”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Were $3000.

These are unrestored jeeps sealed with naval blue rustolium in good condition …both motors are free [ and i will post engine compresion on both ] – cleaning fuel systems now and both will be running shortly. They are complete down to the original air cleaners ..everything…even have the jerry cans for back of both.. Will post more info as I get it …email for any questions ….any offers appreiciated as well as any shared info.
