“Up for your consideration is my 1952 Willys M38A-1, the military jeep that inspired the civilian CJ5. I purchased this jeep in the high desert in Southern California in 2011 and had it shipped to NJ when I moved to the east coast in 2013. Aside from the military I am the third owner since the jeep sold at government auction in 1971.
The original drivetrain is still 100% operational. Engine and transmission were rebuilt in 1956 while in the service in Japan, drivetrain still has military rebuild tags with information. Continue reading

This old fire department jeeps looks like a good price.
“1952 Willys Jeep. Runs good. Was used as a fire department brush fire vehicle for 35 years. Not many miles put on during that time. Has a water tank and Briggs water pump on the back. Rebuilt carburetor and new gas tank on the engine for the water pump. Also comes with a 1955 Department of the Army Technical Manual for operation and organizational maintenance. Clean title.”
It’s missing a title. It’s supposed to be completed, but the seller doesn’t have any pics of the completed vehicle.
