Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Nice looking M-38A1.
“1952 Model, first year for the curved front fenders. Serial #MD18104, 21,680 original miles, 24 volt system, black out lights work. This Jeep is in very good condition. I have original four tires and gas can, all stamped 1952. It now has new Firestone military tires and spare. Very dependable. Canvas top and seat covers in very good condition. You want a piece of military history, this is it!”

Full tune up
New lightweight land cruiser starter
New headlight switch
Fresh fluids transmission & transfer case
This is currently on display at the National United States Armed Forces Museum.

It’s got rusted front floors, but from the outside looks pretty good. Needs wiring and brakes, too.
