Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I am selling my 1945 Willy’s MB that I restored in 2005. Since the restoration the Jeep has been driven 3000 miles and is in perfect running and driving condition. Every part on this jeep has been replaced or re-built when the restoration was done.The only bad thing about the Jeep is that it has some minor bumps and minor scratches from being driven, stored , shows and parades. With that being said it is not a trailer queen I have enjoyed driving it every one of those 3000 miles. The only reason I am selling it is because I don’t have time for it and keeping it stored is not doing it any favors. I would love for this Jeep to go to someone that will use and enjoy it.The Jeep includes the working Radios, and plenty of gear to go with it to make it authentic. The DOD on this Jeep is 7/11/1945. The Body is a reproduction but the frame and most of the hardware is either NOS or original. This was an original radio jeep and the old body can be included with the sale if the buyer wants it. The restoration was photo documented and I have all receipts to show that I am asking much less than I have in it. The Jeep has a clean VA title and YOM license plate that can be registered to the new owner.”

UPDATES:
I’ve had a few questions on the signifcance of the BRT designation and why it is so unique.
What the BRT specifically stands for is “Britian” and it’s marked specifically on the data plate in the “mystery box” on the line that says “MAKE MODEL” “WILLYS MB” just above the Serial Number location.
The BRT marking makes this jeep specifically a British contract jeep. Produce by the Willys Factory specifically for export for the British military during the war. Exports contract negotiated happened before the US even entered the war. Making even the story of the BRT’s very interesting.
Eventually some of the British contracts request were filled with reconditioned vehicles due to American war needs. The actual number of BRT jeeps that were produced is very few and fewer survive today.
There is an excellent sections on Export jeeps specifically the BRT and specifically differences in markings and later modifications written by Peter Ferris in Lloyd White’s book “The Evolution of the Willys-Overland MB Jeep Volume 1” (chapter 8 for those of you that have the book; but if you would like to know where to get a copy of the book send me an email and I can set you in the right direction)
As noted earlier being that this slat has a glove box it is VERY rare, being that it has the BRT designation makes it even rarer. This jeep is one of the most unique, smallest production, most coveted jeeps of the war, and very deserving of a proper restoration.

“FOR SALE IS A 1945 WILLYS MB. IT HAS MANY NEW AND ORIGINAL PARTS. THE ENGINE IS AT 0.010 STOCK NO SLEEVES. IT RUNS PERFECTLY. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL T-84 TRANSMISSION. THE ENGINE IS WW2 AS WELL AS THE WHOLE DRIVE TRAIN. THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, TRANSFER CASE, AND AXLES WERE REBUILT. THE JEEP HAS NEW PERIOD CORRECT WW2 WIRING. IT IS A FACTORY STOCK 6 VOLT.
IT HAS ALL NEW WW2 BEACH WOOD CANVAS UPHOLSTERY ON ALL SEATS. THE JEEP FINISHED RESTORATION IN DECEMBER 2013 AND TILL TODAY HAS ABOUT 1,000- 1,500 MILES IN IT. IT HAS PREFORMED FLAWLESS. IT HAS A CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE AND A VINTAGE STREET LEGAL 1945 PLATE. THE REASON WHY I’M SELLING IS BECAUSE I HAVE ANOTHER JEEP PROJECT AND OTHER VEHICLES I NEED TO LET GO. I HAVE ENJOYED IT FOR ONE YEAR AND I HAVE DECIDED ITS TIME TO MOVE ON AND HAND IT OVER TO A GOOD HOME. THIS JEEP HAS ABSOLUTELY NO RUST AT ALL.

“I have a 1941 WWII PROJECT Jeep. No paperwork, war jeep. Engine not installed, has mud tires, drive train, transmission. 2 front seats and bench back seat (black), plus roll bar. Front windshield folds down, glass is in good condition. The front of the frame was extended to take a larger engine, has engine cover, and 307 engine (you put it back together), some of the floor board was fixed. Primer grey color and pieced together.”

Not totally original, but looks like a solid parade jeep.
“This is a 1944 Willys MB that saw service in Europe from 1944 through 1945; was sold surplus following the war; current owner bought the jeep in Germany in 1987 and returned the jeep to Baltimore in 1989. Jeep is in perfect running condition, has no rust, and has original seats and canvas top; engine is not the original but is a 1945 original Willys engine. Original transmission, transfer case, and axles however. Has been converted to 12-volt and has a non-original electrical wiring harness. This jeep could be fully restored to show condition or used as-is. Given olive drab coat of paint with World War II markings in 2000.”
