“1943 Willys MB in pretty good shape for the age. Runs and drives. Mostly original but not 100%. Has combat wheels and good tires. LOTS of spare parts. Clean KS title. Make Offer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer.
It’s a project.
“I recently bought this WWII 1942 serial number 112111, Willys slat grille Jeep to restore. But, after I realized the rarity of this model and everyone has been wanting to buy it from me, I decided to offer it up for TRADE only. What I really want is a late WWII Ford built GPW Jeep that is in far better condition or much farther along in a restoration. I’m not interested in trading for anything other than a FORD made Jeep that is in BETTER condition than this far more desirable slat grill Jeep that I have. I’m NOT going to sell the Jeep, only trade it for a GPW.
This Willys MB has no title, is not running, but the engine is not locked. The engine and transmission are from a later civilian Jeep. There is rust in the body but not terrible. It appears that the body had been sandblasted at some point and then someone patched the floors and bondoed over dents. Over all, this Jeep is in far better condition than most of the unrestored Jeeps I’ve found.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** was $8500
(07/30/2015) Has an updated motor and some other mods. It appear it hasn’t been licensed since being in Alaska.
“1942 Willys Jeep has 298 Ford v8 engine, 5 military tires, has new canvas seats. $8500 obo call”
An autoevolution article shares the story of this slat-grille MB. It continues to be used.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price.
Looks in good in shape.
“Restored Willys Jeep. Still needs some minor touches to complete. Always stored inside. Motor has been completly rebuilt, transmission rebuilt, new body. Original frame, motor, transmission, and front grill everything else is new and bought from Willys Overland. Serious inquires only, not desperate to sell”
Looks solid.
“1945 Willy Jeep Model MB. Restored to very good condition. Runs great, has recently been driven. $12,000 firm. Drive home a piece of history!”
Lots of work needed.
“Hi all, I am selling my 1944 Willys MB United States Marine Core Jeep. This is an MZ-2 model, which out of 600,000 MB’s produced, only 210 were MZ-2 radio jeeps. It has the original tub and frame, but a later CJ-2A engine that is free turning (am trying to get running).
Will trade for a dodge power wagon (1946-1968) or Willys FC-150 or FC-170.
Includes original and matching tub and frame, original axles, original MZ-2 windshield, original hood, original pintle hook, original transmission and transfer case, 3 combat wheels, 1 CJ wheel, and a later CJ-2A motor that is free spinning. It has the frame tag”
