This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a 1945 Willys Jeep MB. I originally got it to restore and as such have gathered a bunch of parts. I drove the jeep into my shop 2 years ago and started pulling the transmission to have it rebuilt and haven’t touched it since. The transmission and transfercase are still in the jeep. It will need to be trailered. I do have another transmission that’s good to go but it’s the civilian version. This is a military jeep with the dash tags still on it. It does have rust holes and isn’t perfect, it’s a project after all. The brakes have all been redone, the tires are good and I have clear tx title in my name ready to go. Some of the parts I have include a transmission, disassembled transfer case, pto, radiator with shroud, hood, windshield hinges and a bunch of miscellaneous small parts. I’m asking $4500 cash OBO. I’m also willing to trade for first generation dodge cummins parts. I hate to sell the jeep but I have more projects than time and I’d like to see it go to someone who will do something with it.
Feel free to email me for more pics or questions. And if you have any 12 valve cummins parts. Make me an offer, all I can say is no.”

Running when parked thirty years ago.
“This 1945 Military Jeep was registered and running daily when it was parked in this shed in 1985. When checked a few days ago the engine turned over but no attempt was made to start it. Original tires and wheels have been replaced. Plow frame was mounted by a previous owner. We did not use it for plowing here.”

“Have a 42 Willy’s cj2a sitting on 53″waggys, brand new 35 mud terrains, winch, sm420 4speed Dana transfer, 263 v6 Buick, spare tire rack, jerry can rack, bikini top, full top and doors, cb radio, tow bar, american racing wheels, flow master mufflers, power lockers, diff armor I’m sure I’m missing some hmu for more info or to come check it out!”

“This is a vintage World War II Jeep that was restored approximately 10 years ago. Original frame, chassis, driveline, transmission, transfer case, etc. Engine is period correct, but not original. I believe a new body was installed during the restoration. Vehicle runs and drives well, including the 4 wheel drive system. ”

Looks like this might be a MB/GPW chassis with a fiberglass body.

Was a non-running MB in Reno, so someone was able to add value and get this jeep running. Thanks to Jay for pointing this out. Listed as a 1947 CJ-2A, this looks more like a modified MB/GPW.
“I have a 1947 Jeep Willys CJ2A for sale. It has a 283 V8 Chevy motor with edelbrock carb, stock 3 speed tranny and dana 18 transfer case. The dash is custom with stewart warner gauges. The clutch has been converted to hydraulic and steering wheel with tilt. Great running motor. The jeep is in running condition it is a little ruff around the edges but is a good jeep to run around town or drive around in the woods. New battery and air filter. It has a roll bar but is not currently installed. Asking $2300 or best offer”

“Have a lot of new Parts, windshield,tires, etc. Have owners manual. Have big posters of the jeep with details of entire vehicle, diagrams pointing to all parts. 90 % original. Needs a little body work, Paint and wire harness.”
