About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“43 WILLYS JEEP, RUNS GOOD, ALMOST ALL ORIGINAL.
HAS A NEW PTO AND 8K RAMSEY WINCH, I HAVE NOT HOOKED THE WINCH TO THE PTO YET, THE STEERING ARM IS IN THE WAY. I HAVE THE DRIVE SHAFT THOUGH. I GOT SCREWED ON THE TITLE WHEN I BOUGHT IT SO I TITLED IT AS A 42 FORD.
IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE TITLE I WILL TAKE OFF $500
IF YOU DO NOT WANT THEH PTO AND WINCH I WILL TAKE OFF $800.”

“Very rare 1942 Willys ‘Slat Grill’ MB with original numbers matching 4 cylinder 60 hp, 134ci L-head ‘Go Devil’ engine with only 1660 miles on it!. Only 200 ‘slat grills’ are estimated to have survived through 2006, according to Army Motors, the official magazine of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association. The last Willys Slat Grill was S/N 125807 – this one is SN 124833 and was delivered to the US Army on March 5, 1942. A full frame-off rebuild was completed in 2009 and she has appeared at hanger dances, parades, Veteran Day’s events, air shows, and USO shows. This is a true show vehicle and not something you take to the bush for hunting. It comes complete with an all canvas top, shovel and axe attached to the side, upgraded brakes, a 12 volt electronic ignition system, and a copy of a M1 Automatic Carbine on the dash. This is a true gem and is garaged – does not sit outside in the weather. A rare opportunity to get a piece of history. Soon enough these will only be found in museums or in private collections. A rare piece of US history to be admired. Shipping or transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. Taylor’s transport does excellent shipping from Canada to USA at reasonable prices. Seller reserves the right to pull the listing if sold before the auction ends. Good luck and thanks for bidding.”
(09/02/2012) They broke the mold after creating this one. It includes a capstan winch.
“Willy’s jeep 1942. Has original 4 cyl. engine that purrs and doesn’t smoke. I’ve yet to see anther like this one, it is two seat with a pickup box behind. On the front bumper is an engine driven capstan winch, go online to “willy’s capstan winch kit” and you will see that this item alone sells for $3250.00 plus shipping. Also comes with an aluminum bolt on roof with two aluminum doors and an A-frame rig that bolts to the front bumper for pulling stumps and whatever. If you want to have a jeep that nobody else has, respond to this ad. I’ve had many people look at this jeep and they all agree that it appears to be made this way by the factory. You won’t find another like this one. No scams accepted, cash only.”
This is an interesting ad that uses the jeep in co-promotion with W/O’s automobiles. The Jeep in the ad appears to be a Slat Grille. I wish the seller had mentioned the date of the newspaper, too.
“This is a SMALL size 1941 (it is close to 4″ X 4″) newspaper ad with paper toning.”
