Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (06/24/2017) This is hodgepodge of an MB Body on a postal chase with a Nissan engine/tranny. It is 2WD.
“Offering my 1943 Willys Jeep Rat Rod! This has been an awesome toy but I need the room for other projects. 43 Willys body on Jeep postal carrier frame. Nisson Z engine and 5 speed tranny, Comfortable Peugot velour seats with waterproof covers, Bimini top, new tires and wheels, and tow bar. Everything works except the speedometer! Runs excellent and is a lot of fun to drive! This is a one-of-a-kind must see!”

UPDATE: listed as a’42, it looks more like an M-38.
“1942 Willys MB Jeep 4 x 4. Serial # 2T18124. Mileage reads 28,733. Powered by a 4 cylinder Willys Go Devil gas engine. 3 speed manual transmission with 2 speed transfer case and locking hubs. Brakes have been upgraded to 11 inch drums. This jeep has a Braden power take off winch, these winches run off the engine power and don’t kill your battery. This Jeep starts easily and runs very well, the transmission and 4 wheel drive are smooth, quiet and work as they should.This Jeep has a 1951 M38 body tub. The Jeep comes with a full top, doors, bikini top, spare parts, towing lights and a technical manual. Overall a nice solid, good driving old Jeep.”

There may be some parts value here. It looks to me like it has MB lids. Seller makes quite a statement about rarity, but the numbers don’t back that claim. There were 281,000 GPWs produced. That is more than the number of CJ-2As (225,000), CJ-3As (131,000), CJ-3Bs (196,000), and M-38s (45,000) … I guess it ain’t that rare after all!

“Lost interest in this project, it runs and almost drives, needs the trans hooked up and some brake work. It has a 4 bolt 327 sbc and a turbo 350 with a 2500 stall convertor. It’s had alot of work done to it but I have far too many projects. Mainly looking to sell but I may entertain offers and trades clean title in hand”
