Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It looks like Chrysler-Fiat-AMC-Daimler-Benz, or whomever owns them anymore, is resurrecting the Jeep Grand Wagoneer for 2018.

(07/10/2015) Because this sits on a post ’71 CJ-5 chassis, the front clip has been lengthened.
“1951 Willy’s M38 Jeep. Runs and drives well. Set up on a 1973 cj 5 chassis and drive line. 258 straight 6 ,3speed manual transmission . Needs minor things to totally finish out . Front axle joints , front spring bushings, better front seats. wipers need finished wiring. Just small stuff. Assembled vehicle title already done in Ohio. decent paint job . turns heads at the car cruises.”

“43 Willy mb jeep.
The vin / serial number matches the military delivery records for 1943.
Completely stock willy. Has flathead 4 cylinder engine in it.
Clean 1943 title.
Runs, drives, really well. Brakes need to be bled but function.
Has front tow bar on it. ”

“This is a 1963 Jeep/Willys FC 170 cab over truck, has a willys super hurricane flat head I6, 3 speed manual trans T90, T18 transfercase with PTO , Runs and drives, Like brand new 7.50 16’s, some rust in each rear cab corner and some above windshield but not bad for 50 years old. Really want to restore it just cant get the time to. 39,066 on odometer, 4 wheel drive works good. Have Clean MO title”
I just noticed that I haven’t been receiving emails for all the comments readers have made about posts over the last few weeks. So, if you’ve wondered why I haven’t responded to some question, it’s because I never received a notification email. Here’s what happened:
At the end of July and in early August a hacker attempted to gain access to eWillys through brute force by repeatedly guessing at my password. Somehow the hacker recognized that deilers was my admin username and tried to obtain the password. The attacks came from servers all over the world.
The security measures I have in place slowed the hacker considerably. Still, I thought it prudent to change my identity from deilers to LostBiscuit. I then changed deilers ‘role’ from an administrator to an author, hence the change in the comments ID (in case anyone noticed). I figured that even if they cracked the deilers ID, there wasn’t much they could at the authorial level.
A couple days after I made the change I noticed the number of comments on posts seemed to slow, though I still received some comments. I just figured people were out enjoying the summer weather.
This week the attack finally subsided. So, that’s some good news. But, today I happened to notice comments on several posts for which I never received notification emails. The strange thing is I have been receiving some email comments, so I’m not sure why I haven’t received them all, but I suspect it has to do with the changing admin ID. I’ve just made an admin change that I hope resolves this.

“1964 jeep fc170 pickup in non running condition with a 1973 ford 302 v8 engine.
the engine is siezed up; won’t turn over i got it started about 10 years ago but it seized up right away.
the cab is off the chassis for easier access to engine.
the cab is pretty rusty.
most of the parts are there to get it going again w/ another ford engine.
