These photos were taken at a military show by Joe. He notes, “I photographed this TUG at the Gilbert, PA military vehicle rally some years ago. This model is especially significant to me since I first experienced a TUG first-hand at a Boy Scout Camp in the 1950’s when tasked with a work detail to ‘Spring Clean’ the area around and under the camp Mess Hall. Unbeknownst to us, the oversized crawl space under the building also happened to be the designated storage area for the camp jeep….. you guessed it, a Willys 6×6 known as an MT-TUG. It was complete with serial numbers, stars, data plates and other markings. As mere kids, we were fascinated with the 6-wheel jeep and spent the time pretending to drive the beast instead of actually cleaning the space as assigned. Lucky for us the 6 volt battery was dead. And, so began, at an early age, a life-long interest in jeeps, especially the olive-drab kind. It was also common knowledge within the camp that this jeep was experimental and one of only 15 built. (This fact was verified in books and articles on the MT-TUG published some 50 years later.) Anyway, the camp leaders also knew they had a rare vehicle on their hands and the scuttlebutt was that the jeep was going back to the manufacturer in even trade for a NEW Willys CJ5. I moved on from scouting after that and still don’t know if that deal ever came to fruition.”

1947 Marmon-Herrington Delivery Van Johnsburg, IL **SOLD**
UPDATE II: A seventh Deliver-All is located in Morris, Illinois, at the True North shop (see on Google).
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800. Since this was sold I’ve gathered additional information on the Deliver-All. The video below shows the jeep engine and what may be a T-90. A custom(?) transferase was adapted to the back of the transmission to provide front wheel drive.
Here’s an ad that’s currently on eBay as of 07/22/16:
Photo from Pinterest of 1946 Marmon-Harrington Deliver-All van:
A good example of the logo:

This was the original ad from 2013:
“1947 Marmon Herrington DelivR All step/delivery van. Only 6 [Ed note: now 7 as of 2019] known to exist. This truck has sat for 25 years but the engine still runs. check out youtube video. look up 1947 Marmon deliver All. The truck is front wheel drive with independant rear suspension. It is powered by a 4 cyl willys engine and a 3 speed manual trans axle. There is some rust issues but not what you would expect for a midwest vehicle that was stored outside. Somebody converted it to a popcorn/ Cheese curd vending vehicle some time ago. No Title but have previous registration cards so that one can get a replacement title.
I bought this truck to make a hotrod out of it and put a late model driveline in it. When I found out how rare it is I thought I would alow the purists out there a chance at owning and restoring it. If not I will proceed with my Hot Rod Plans. Speak now or forever hold your peace. ”

1967 Gladiator Abbotsford, BC, Canada **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Scott has this good looking J2000 Gladiator for auction on eBay.
“Probably one of the cleanest original Gladiators you will find. I have had the original wheels and bumpers sandblasted and professionally painted to the original Glacier White that the truck still retains. The tailgate was also repainted. Most of its life it had a canopy on it with plywood on the bed floor keeping it clean and rust free. The engine is the original 327 Vigilante and has 122k miles on it and runs good, 4sp trans, power steering and add on power brakes from way back that work great! Interior is all original as well. It does have nice patina over the course of 45yrs! I have tried to show lots of pictures indicating it’s amazing original condition, all the chrome and emblems are near perfect, it has the optional center lights added, ever seen those before? I have the original pie plates. The truck was a one owner truck most of its life, I am the third owner and I have the original owners manual and warranty booklet it came with, also lots of maintenance records. I don’t think you could find a cleaner original Gladiator, I have never seen one anyway. No disappointments here to say the least!”

The South African Jakkal
Marc was in the South African Air Force, but never saw one of these offroad airborne Jakkal vehicles in action. He’d never seen one until he enountered this link, which has all kinds of pictures by Danie Van den Berg:
http://www.sa-transport.co.za/military/army_vehicles_3.html
Here’s a packed Jakkal from a Wikipedia entry:

It looks like this has a jeep like suspension with full floating hubs in the rear. Note how the winch until on the front folds down to allow the front clip to tilt forward.
