This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. At some point (early 1950s?), Sears bought/connected with the Meyers Aircraft Company and began selling the Meyers hardtops under the Sears/Allstate/Montgomery Wards brands. So, it’s possible that this really is a Meyers hardtop, though it looks most like a Sears Deluxe Hardtop.

TJ shared what appears to be a good price on a CJ-5 hardtop by Kelly (if I remember correctly). The sides fold out on it.

This is currently setup for a CJ-5.
“Ramsey 200R 8000lb winch and PT1-J PTO for early Jeep with Dana 18 transfer case.
Complete set-up including winch, roller fairlead, driveshaft, and PTO with shifter.
Currently set-up for M38A1 or early CJ-5 but will fit many others with minor mods.
In good serviceable condition, nothing locked up, stored indoors. Even the cable (removed for easier handling) is in good condition. Fairlead and mounts may need a little attention and needs the little shifter stalk retainer plate but that would be easy to fab.”
UPDATE: **SOLD**? Was $3500.
One of the two pics shows the Capstan and the other pic shows a rear PTO gear box, but that doesn’t appear to be for sale.
