Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have two L-134 (“Hurricane”) engines, two generators, radiator, rear axle, heater. Assorted all original parts. These are from a 1947 Willys CJ-2A Jeep but are compatible with 1945-49 jeeps and some CJ-3B. Need to make room in my garage. This is a package deal. Priced to sell quick. $4000.00 firm. “I believe this to be a 1947 CJ2A but not sure on the year. I bought it for parts the body and frame were rusted beyond repair. The engine ran like a sewing machine I only needed the trans so I put oil in the cylinders and put it under my building and covered it. But after sitting in there for over 20 years it is stuck. I believe if someone wanted it for the external parts it is well worth my asking price. I have lots of other parts for these Willys jeeps. I also have a building full of vintage auto parts ,mostly Chevy some Ford etc. I would make someone a good deal on a bunch of parts. I need to tear down the building everything needs gone. Located 3 miles southwest of Whitesburg,KY.”

“Restoring a 1961 Willy’s CJ3b, and already accumulating spares! I have the following new/ used parts available:
– original Willy’s CJ3b grille. Has surface rust, very restorable
– two original clear glass parking light/ turn signal glass lenses and chrome bezels
– two original headlight buckets with adjusters and chrome trim rings
– brand new front frame cross member. This is the repro parts that does not have the bell crank mount.
– some early gauges for multi guage dashboards, pre ‘58
– four brand new suspension leaf springs. These are the heavy duty 9 leaf springs.
– four original Willy’s 15” rims. Have tires mounted that hold air.
– four original early Willy’s 15” rims. No tires, just bare wheels.
