Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Spencer has this original top for sale. He bought it years ago, but never used it. We believe it is for a CJ-5. It’s in perfect condition. I tired to find more information out about it, but couldn’t find anything on Panorama Tops. You can contact him at spencertatum17@yahoo.com if interested.

“You are bidding on an ORIGINAL INNER WINDSHIELD with original 1944 Factory marked GLASS for a WW2 WILLYS MB Jeep.
This is a very unique opportunity to own one of the rarest items you possibly could for a MB or GPW.
+Rarely are inner windshields not rusted out.
+Almost unheard of is two intact panes of factory glass with factory markings. These things were probably breaking since day one.
+ Unheard of is a inner windshield in this condition found separate of find of a once in a lifetime unrestored jeep find.
The windshield frame is in amazing condition with very little surface rust. I believe the original paint is intact below a layer of black paint that is flaking and chipping off in places.
Both panes are marked 5-44 and in good shape; no chips, no cracks, there are however a few scratches in the glass that are hard to capture in pictures but nothing that really directly impedes the view while driving or obnoxiously stands out too much.”

(11/24/2012) If there is really a closet full of parts, this may be worth a look.
“I just don’t have the time to finish it up. The chassis have been rebuilt from the ground up. Axles, Brakes, Steering, Tranny, Engine. I have two tubs that I was going to use to make one but just don’t have the time. It is set up for 12 volt and I have all new gauges, and a new wiring harness. I have two extra fenders. It has a T90 tranny in it and I also have a T84 Tranny that is ready to re-assemble. I have all the parts plus a large closet of more original Jeep parts. Way too many to list. I even have the paint for it. It just need some work on the tub and reassembled.”
