I wonder if all the Yellow Fleet rental jeeps were painted light yellow like this one? I’m guessing the color of the photo might be off a little, which gives the CJ-6 a bit of a green tint. This was taken by Bob Petley.

This image was taken by Bob Petley also, perhaps on the same trip as the image above.
This trolley used to be towed by a CJ-7 along Rehoboth Beach, North Shores, and Dewey Beach in Delaware.
Thanks to a couple readers who sent me some surprise presents! Both were a big surprise and much appreciated.
This Scrambler Christmas ornament arrived in the mail on Monday, sent by Blaine . We only have two ornaments on the tree this year and this Scrambler is one of them (we are having a very low-key Christmas this year).
Chris sent me these five post cards and, amazingly, I don’t have any of them! I’ll do some better scans of them in the near future.
This is the cheapest of several postcards showing this parade in Rocky Ford, Colorado.

“1940s E. C. Kropp Linen postcard: “Street Scene, Rocky Ford Colorado. North Main Street showing part of the main business district. Crowds of people watching the big parade on Fair Day. Rocky Ford is one of the leading towns in the Arkansas Valley.” Jeeps and tanks (in background further down the street) are in the view. Never mailed.”
This postcard shows a bunch of jeeps at Camp Butner all lined up.

Using the Stradivarius as an example seems an odd choice to me given the Jeep’s demographic. Seems like they could have picked something a little less aloof. Maybe something like, “even a race car needs tune ups” or “even John Wayne has to go to the doctor for checkups”?
“Dealer sales service advertising of Willys. Measures approximately 5″ by 8″ Good condition.”
Here’s another one that was on eBay:

==========================
Original Post from January of 2014: From the Lost Parks website I learned that Tommy Bartlett’s international Deer Ranch in Silver Springs, Florida, was a petting zoo “in the early 1960’s. The land was only rented from the Springs, and there was at least one lawsuit between Bartlett and Silver Springs over the terms of his lease. Eventually the land was reabsorbed into the Silver Springs attraction and Bartlett left to concentrate on his Wisconsin busineses. He died in September, 1998.”
