About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Here’s a neat truck, though I think it is missing a tow assembly.
“This vintage Marx Towing Service Willys Jeep wrecker measures almost 13 inches in length. It’s made of pressed steel. The decals on the doors are marked with the Marx emblem. Through the decal you can make out the word “Willys” which is impressed into the steel beneath the decal. This truck is in used and played with condition. The towing apparatus is missing as is the rear tailgate.”
“Here we have a Structo Jeep ride on fire truck. There is a dent in the back on the right side (see pics). The steering wheel may not be original. It has great patina! See pictures for condition. What you see is what you get. Selling as is. Please ask questions if you have them. Thanks for looking! Check out my other auctions for more great old stuff.”
I was nine when this came out. I should have owned one of these. Santa, where were you when I needed you??
“Up for Bid is a 1974 Hot Wheels Grass Hopper. Nice car with some play-wear. I took plenty of clear pictures so there are no misunderstandings. My camera takes super close shots so any imperfections are really magnified. Need more info or pics please let me know. * I continuously list early Hot Wheels, Matchbox and other brands so please check-in often.”
“Jeep Lovers, this is a fantastic find from the early 1950’s. This red Jeep measures 4 ft long and 2 ft wide and easily accomodates a child up to 10 years of age. All original condition, tires, axles, steering, body, even the chain they used to use to strap us in! The Jeep when it was in use, was connected to a center motor by an arm that moved a gang of 6 different Jeeps in a circle with some steering allowed. This is not a peddle car and doesn’t have any power feature of it’s own. Heavy metal construction. A wonderful piece of childhood nostalgia! Very sturdy, steers straight, (no brakes). Very, very rare! Bid with confidence, you’ll be the only ‘kid’ on your block (or state) with one. Research shows they were made from 1950-1952. See you tube video regarding the Kiddie Jeep ride some guy was rebuilding if you’re interested. Available for inspection at Red Rooster, New Braunfels, TX M-Sat 10-6 while auction is open. Available locally so auction could end early to cash-in-hand buyer. Weighs about 60 lbs.”
Here’s a Tonka Fire Jeep that appears to be in great shape.
“This is a terrific Jeep Fire Truck in excellent condition. It has the original tires (white walls) and hub caps, nozzle on hose, red light on hood, head lights, red ladder, two fire extinguishers on rear bumper and Tonka decal on both sides. Interrior is perfect with original steering wheel. There are a few minor scratches on the ladder but otherwise there is very little, if any, show of ware. No box. This is from a collection of Tonka Trucks that were used for display.”
“Hit the trails! This pedal car captures the look of that classic flat-fendered trail runner preferred by all-terrain kids. It’s constructed of durable stamped steel, with smooth-turning pedals and steering, and steel wheels wrapped in soft, knobbed tires. Measures 33 1/2” L x 16” W x 15” H, perfect for kids 3-6 years old.”
UPDATE: Well, I purchased this coloring book last month. Let me save you all some money by telling you that the only jeep in the entire book is the one on the front cover (and that one is obviously already colored)!! Oh well . . .
(08/14/2012) The “Johnny Jeep Coloring Book” from the Merrill Publishing Company #3457 . Copyright 1943. Cover art by Schumacher. It measures 8 /2″ by 11″ and has 48 pages to color.”
