This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “You are bidding on a very early, very original, very complete and unmolested 1945 BT3-C, 1/4 Ton Civilian Trailer.It was built by the Bantam Car Company in Butler, Pennsylvania. Bantaminvented the original WWII jeep and built approximately 2,500 pre-production models prior to Willys and Ford taking over the production of jeeps for WWII in late 1941 and the spring of 1942. Bantam was then relegated throughout the remainder of WWII to buildingthe 1/4 ton ‘jeep’ trailer that was typically towed by either the Willys MB or theFord GPW jeeps.

“1944 US Army Airborne Converto 1/2 ton dump trailer. 31 x 10.50 r15 BFG mud terrain tires on 10 wide wheels. Also comes with the original reinforced combat wheels with tires. All new tail lights and wiring. The original lunette eye mount is all complete and not modified. I made a new slug of solid 2 inch round bar to fit in the factory spot with a 2 inch ball coupler. It can be easily removed and put an original one back on it. The floor is solid with very little surface rust. The only original part it is missing besides the lunette eye is the handle for the rear gate dogs. I just made one out of some steel i had around. This trailer would not take much to have it fully restored. Im asking $4,000.00 obo”

Peter’s got this Ben Hur Trailer for sale.
“What I have is a unique trailer; a 1943 Ben Hur Military (US) Trailer built and used during the war. There are some privately owned and there are a few in Museums. Mine, I’ve own for over twenty years. I have all registration documents, and it is registered to me with a pink slip. The trailer is located in the Central Part of the State. It is fully functioning, so you can pull it home or wherever. Since it is registered, it has a license plate, which will come with the trailer.”

There is no vin plate for the Replitub, you would need to apply for a VIN/Serial Number through the State (Utah TC-162 Application Form) in order to road register this after you build it. Alternatively, it could be build as an Off-Road vehicle without that process. I would be happy to assist you with that process if needed. I have a poilce VIN inspection for the Jeep stating that no VIN was found on the tub or the frame by the officer”

Bill spotted this nice looking Converto Airborne Dump Trailer.
“You are bidding only on a fully restored, WWII Air Transportable, Dump Trailer, manufactured by Converto. Believed to be a 1944. This trailer was often transported to remote areas and used in construction projects. It was typically towed with a jeep as both could be transported inside a WWII C-47 Cargo Plane. The trailer was originally purchased from the estate of a WWII member of the 20th Air Force, and marked in his honor upon restoration. No Title. Sold with a bill of sale only. ”

For a 75-year-old trailer, this one is in pretty excellent shape. This is either a 1946 or 1947 Bantam T3-C 1/4 ton trailer. I’ve owned it for a couple of years now, with the intention to turn it into a overland like trailer.
I have an extra set of rims with military style tires, but all these tires need to be replaced, the rubber is pretty old on these. All the rims are in inner tube style rim as well. The bolt pattern is 5×5.5″ with a hub opening of a hair over 4.75.”
