Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “We have had a Willy’s pickup sitting in our yard for the past 13 years. For the most part we have had it covered and have not done anything with it. It’s a 47 Willy’s pickup with utility box, 327 Chevy engine. No title. This would be an awesome project vehicle for someone! We moved to town and won’t have room for it anymore. Asking $1500.”

“1957 Willy’s Jeep Pickup, 6 cylinder, flathead, 3 speed manual transmission, high and low range 4WD, all new brake lines, wheel cylinders, and brakes, lots of new tuneup parts, plugs, wires, cap rotor, coil, and carburetor kit, all front lights work, tail lights need to be hitched up, frame is very clean and solid, runs and shifts good, new upholstered seat, was planning on restoring but to many other projects, must sell. Would be a great restoration project or drive it just the way it is! Tires hold air but are weather cracked, truck bed is also in good condition. Serious inquiries only. Cash only. Tom’s selling his nice looking truck.
“1960 Willys 4 x 4, rare 1 ton, everyday driver, runs like a top. Original drive train, super hurricane engine with 32,444 original miles. Factory 12 volt, 3 sp. trans. with Hi-Lo transfer case. Everything works, but sometimes fuel gauge bounces from E to F. Great clutch and brakes, new tires and newer battery. Has been restored 10+ years ago. Bed sides are stained and spar varnished 2 x 6’s plus wooden insert can be slid out for metal bed bottom. Steering is tight and straight, has terrific heater and electric wipers instead of vacuum.”
