About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This was a garaged truck, but the frame was rebuilt? Looks like a fine truck, but I don’t see an argument for the high price.

“This is a good, solid project truck! Willys 6 cylinder. Is currently non-running, but does turn. Body is very straight with no serious issues. Excellent restoration project. Call Furniture Restoration Center & ask for Steve: 541-929-6681”
“I’m selling my 1949 willys truck. It’s had a lot of custom mods done to it. The front axle was pushed out 14″. The front rails were narrowed and shortened. The underside of the frt cross member had ladies painted on a long time ago. I got the frame with them on there, original rad shell, alum rad with elec. cooling fan. The engine is an older sbc 327. th350n trans, lokar long shifter, alum drive shaft, ford 9″ rear axle, 3.70 open gears, drum brakes, power brake booster, flaming river steering gear, cross steer, rear rails shortened and notched, competition engineering ladder bars, QA1 coil-overs, No heater or door windows.
Speedway tube frt axle
Front disc brakes
Dome was cut off the roof and flat topped
Roof chopped 4 1/4 inches
Bed shortened 3 ft
Needless to say its had a lot done to it.”
This might make an interesting project. Someone started stealing parts, so the seller wants this to go to a deserving jeep enthusiast.
“Vintage Willys truck (old San Diego Convair Airplane assembly plant fire truck) bought to restore but illness in family prevents continuing so would like best offer. Have trailor to go with it. Sold as is you haul. Drove up some time ago but now some slime balls have started helping themselves and stealing parts and I would like to have jeep enthusiast or someone passionate about old jeeps continue my dream to restore to factory spec. Will negotiate, I need Lake Arrowhead cabin landscaped cleaned and exterior house painted to make attractive to sell. Great home mechanic project.”
This looks good, but still needs some work according to the seller.
“Early 1951 Willys Pick Up with a small block Chevy and a T-90 with overdrive all original running gear. Dana front axle and Timkin rear diff. New custom built gas tank. It’s your turn to have fun with this truck. I have had my fun and it is your turn to make it yours. I have completely painted the frame and body. I also replaced some small things here and there. It is a very fun vehicle and gets alot of looks. Current on registration and road worthy. It needs your love and attention to finish. This all steel body truck needs a some love and attention with a few things like the wipers do not work and needs center buttons for door handles, carpet and headliner. I have put in the power steering upgrade so mark that off you list. I do have a very hard to find Willys Overland tailgate that I have been rebuilding and spare tire holder that have not been painted yet. As a bonus I have a T-18 four speed transmission for and upgrade at an additional cost. If interested I can take more pictures. I am not interested in trades or partial cash with payments”

I am reposting this to add additional information so as not to waste my time or yours. Ive owned the truck for the last 12 years or so. This truck is the finished product of a compilation of aquired parts (new and used) and assembled together using the best of what was found. It is titled as a 1955 as that was the original truck that I started with. The bed and rear fenders are reproductions from Willys America. The cab is from a 61 truck. The engine is an original super hurricaine flat head 6 that was rebuilt to stock. There is a two barrel carb and intake on it which I believe to be a rare option for this truck as most that you see are the single barrel carbs. During assembling the frame was wire brushed epoxy primed and painted black. Floor pans in the cab were patched and the floor was sprayed at Line X in Yorktown. Line X also sprayed the interior of the bed, the insides of the rear fenders, and the underside of the bed prior to its installation. The truck was painted Transport yellow which was a factory color option. the truck was put back close to original but taking a few liberties as to personal preference. The seat is not stock and is out of an s10 pickup. This truck has not been registered in the last five years or so. It will not leave my house as a driver. In order for it to be road worthy it will need to have the carb rebuilt. (gas is rough when these vehicles sit up for a while). The brakes will need to be bled off. ( again a product of sitting in my garage) and one tire will need to be pumped up, or have a tube put in. Even though it has been off the road I still try a couple times a year to start the old girl up move it around in the driveway just to keep everything lubed up. The last time was this past summer. when these pics were taken. Please understand that this is not a show truck. The cab is not falwless and im sure that you will find many imperfections in the fit and finish of this truck. That said it is a neat old piece and if the above mentioned items were addressed it would be a neat driver. If after reading this your still interested feel free to give me a call. ”
