1960 Custom Truck Lake County, CA **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000.

“Willys Truck (1960) Sits on a shortened Ford F150 4×4 frame and running gear. Motor is machine shop rebuilt fuel injected 5 liter (302). Trans is Ford AOD rebuilt at Norcal trans. A few of the features are a shortened bed, Mazda pickup rear sliding window grafted in, 280ZX hood inserts, custom headlight housings, minivan back seat serves as the truck bench seat and more. There was a fair degree of customization to the truck, however the motor, except for a necessary .030 bore increase at the machine shop, and the tranny was kept as stock as possible for durability’s sake.

I finished the truck around 5 years ago. I never used it a lot, but 2 ½ years ago it began to sit while I looked for myself a house. Now I’m in my house and it’s parked in my garage going to waste. The truck runs and drives and 4wheels very well but it needs some of the aftermarket mistakes and design mistakes I made, corrected.
There is less than 13,000 miles on the rebuild. Nothing was wrong, I just found that I am more interested in building the stuff than using it.
The paint needs re-done. I cheeped out on the paint and it didn’t survive the snowy winter that it set out side while I finished my garage. It needs a window replaced, replacement aftermarket power windows installed (I have new replacements), and aftermarket windshield wiper motor replaced (I have the new replacement). This should be considered a project truck as it has things to fix. The pic was taken approx 4 years ago.”

Photo of 1956 Fire Truck Douglas County, CO on eBay

This is a print from a 35mm slide, but you are purchasing only the print and not the slide.

“Beautiful new professional print (6″ X 4″) from an old 35mm slide of a 1956 Willys Jeep pickup being used at the Douglas County Fire Department parked in the drive way of the fire house (KODACHROME TRANSPARENCY PROCESSED BY Kodak, date imprinted APR 60). Beautiful looking JEEP, Fire Engine Red, loaded with equipment. No idea where the photo was taken. If anyone can help I’d sure appreciate it. Nothing written on the slide. Much better than scan, crisp and clear. Any glare or distortion is from my digital camera. The ruler does not show up on the print.”

1951 Truck Washington, UT **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Willys Trucks • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

This is a no-reserve auction. Needs a tiny bit of work.

“This rare classic is selling on a “No Reserve Auction”. The high bidder will absolutely win this truck.

Just got this rare truck in. Its a 1951 Overland Willys Jeep Flatbed Pickup. It appears to be in very good condition for the year. I have had a few of these throughout the years and they are getting harder to find and they sell fast.
This one starts right up and Purrs like a Kitten. No Smoke or engine noise and runs cool. It appears to me to be the original motor and it looks like it has been rebuilt or freshened up. It has good power for the size of the motor. The Truck drives very straight and no shakes or shimmies. It has new tires and nice aluminum wheels which greatly adds to the drive-ability. It appears that someone started to restore this and so it needs to be finished up, but the hardest parts of the restoration appear to be done. It would be a fun project and with a little work you could drive while you complete.
This would also be a great advertisement piece for your business, Imagine your company signs along the sideboards of the flatbed.
A couple of other things. It is a bit hard to shift into 2nd gear i’m not sure if its the clutch or what? I have talked to some people about it and they tell me that its my driving and that you have to “double clutch it” when you shift? Maybe you will know more about this than I do, however I wanted to disclose this. It appears that the previous owners have coated the flatbed and the floor boards with some type of coating. It looks nice and appears to be quite durable. I don’t see any major problems with rust, but there is some visible surface rust inside the door panels and on the roof on the inside of the truck (under where the headliner would be). The seat is not original but fits in the cab very well and looks good. I have the door panels that need to be covered and installed (see pictures) I also have some other misc parts that are in the picture that will go with the truck. It is missing the headliner. The headlights and taillights work but you will need to get the wipers working and a few other misc items.”

1949 Truck Flower Mound, TX **Status Unknown**

• CATEGORIES: Willys Trucks • TAGS: , , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was listed at $5000.

With a flat, a lack of brakes and a broken windshield, this will need some work.

“It’s a decent truck that I don’t have time to finish. Starts and runs good. It would be driveable if it had brakes I haven’t had time to see what’s up with them. As you can see I haven’t had time to fix the flat on the front.
I have a brand new fuel pump for it that needs to be installed and both shifter boots that will go with it also. It has a clean title that is in my name. Feel free to ask any questions, or set up a time to come look it over.”
