Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Beautiful 1965 Jeep Gladiator, 350 Buick eng. Automatic trans. A real pleasure to drive, certainly turns heads wherever it goes. It is a 4×4 but never goes off road! Power steering, manual hubs, truck is always garaged and rarely even driven. Needs a few finishing touches to make it perfect but is fine the way it sits! Hate to sell it but could really use the room in my shop right now. Please email with questions and I’ll try and answer them the best I can, if you would like more pictures let me know and I’ll send them off. The truck has a California title at the present time. I can have the truck shipped anywhere or will work with your shipper on my end.”

“I recently purchased this truck to keep as a toy, but I have decided on another project that I did not plan for and need to sell this one ASAP. It is a 1953 Willys truck showing 80,710 miles and has a flatbed in solid useable condition. Engine is an old style original and appropriate 283 Chevy V8 conversion with headers, Cherry Bombs and stacks – so your neighbors will know when you arrive home at 2am! It also has a Warn OVERDRIVE split transmission which is a rare and desireable option and on the dash it says “Warn Overdrive” on a sticker that looks to be original condition. It also has nice bucket seats, good glass, rear hitch and rare cab top clearance lights. Really good condition for 57 years old, solid and not a rust bucket! Has had the rockers, floors and a few places patched. It runs and drives but will need the fuel tank cleaned out and possibly a replacement electric fuel pump. I have only driven it about 50 feet onto my trailer since I have owned it so I don’t know how it goes down the road. Tires have lots of tread and hold air fine, but they have some dry cracking. Surprisingly most everything worked on it – the heater, the window cranks and has both wiper motors that need a little attention. It is by no means a restored truck, but complete enough to do a lot better with and make less ratty.”

“This is a great un-altered project. It is about 99% complete and original (4cyl. flathead Hurricane engine, 3speed trans with Hi-Lo range, 4X4….. all in operational condition, The brakes are NOT working ) The body is pretty solid except for rust through on driver side floor. Title in hand.”

This looks like a good candidate for a restoration project.
“1953 Willy’s truck small block chevy engine, the rest of the drive train is stock including the Warn overdrive. This truck is rust free and very solid, easy resteration. I have owned this truck for a long time and it has spent a good bit of it’s life in a garage. The green paint or what is left of it is original, the interior has been redone, It needs the new master cyclinder to be installed. The transmisssion is growly but still drives and stays in gear.”

“I need to sell my 1957 Willy’s … bought it, put in a new engine, transmission and wheels then my house burnt down … so I haven’t had the time to put into finishing the restoration. Runs great!

“I am putting up my 1958 Willys for sale. I bought this last year after searching for a truck for some time. I have a child and a stay at home wife now, so truck must go. It starts and runs every time. I has the original 226 super hurricane motor and running gear. It is 4 wheel drive. These are originally rated as a 1-ton truck. It does have a plow for the front. I do not know much about it, but bolts right up to the bumper brackets and has an electric winch on it. The past owner plowed his drive with it. I bought this truck as a hunting rig and it worked great. I was able to drive back and forth from freeman in rain or snow. I also have chains for all four tires.
