Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 willys jeep truck rat rod. Chassis 1990 toyota ext. cab truck. 22r 4cyl, fuel inj. auto ,ps, pb. gauge cluster out of the toyota installed in the dash, so the speedo, gas gauge, and heat gauge all work, as well as the headlights, taillights, brakelights, signals all work! Drive it to the shows and get plenty of looks. Still got the ole’ yellow TN. title. last time it was tagged was in 1964. It will be at the Rod Run wed. thru sunday if its not sold, in front of FRENCH”S BOOTS. Got to many projects. Also have a 68 c10 truck restored, and a 72 c10 in the process of getn done”

“For sale is my ’51 Willys truck. Body and mechanics are all original. Tires and wheels obviously not. Tailgate and hinges were purchased separately, but both are ’51 model parts. Runs and starts great. Surface rust in bed, rear bumper, and passenger door. Rusted through in front right wheel well. Pictures speak for themselves. Great looking and running 61-year-old truck. Bought two years ago as project truck, but it’s taking up too much room in my garage. Clear Kansas title.

“51 willys pickup truck, truck is complete does not run at this time.has been senting for quite a while.bought last year just no time to work on,as usual to many other things to fix first. this truck has not much rust,compaired to other trucks i have look at before buying this one.I ding the front axle cover with forkleft leaked oil on deck that needs to be fixed.engine may run with work pulled plugs will put oil in cylinders to day.with some work may start and drive needs brack work also”

“1948 Willys Jeep, Pick Up Modified Top chopped 3 inches cab channeled 6 inches over Toyota P/U frame. Powered by 1963 Ford 6 cylinder motor with 3 speed floor shift transmission. Wood bed is custom made as well as all fenders and hood. All glass is new, as is wiring, seats are early T-Bird. The total mileage on this vehicle is really not known due to the many components used to build it, but does run and drive very well. See pictures for details.”
